these guys are awesome, I manage a blues bar in England and i play these guy all the time and they go down a storm, I cant get enough. check out the hokie joint they are a young English blues bad doing some great stuff a lil bit different but equally good.
In high school I actually thought they really committed some big crime really happened. I'm just relieved they aren't in jail. I like their music! haha
AS far as I'm concerned, JJ Grey is the finest vocalist in southern rock since at least Gregg Allman; a deep songwriter with the mystic beating heart of the South referenced in every song he writes,as if Van Morrison had been reincarnated into a knowing good ol' boy filled with both the spirit of the flesh and belief in our redemption. He's the Springsteen of the Southeast, but I happen to like JJ better---he's a better singer, and more soulful.
JJ grey and MOFRO rock, they are coming to Seattle in February and I can't wait. I have been wanting to see them live for a long time. They are done and dirty swamp blues with the great blue eyed soul on the ballads.....they do little wrong!
JJ and the boys are absolutely incredible. Not only is their music the most soulful southern funk i have ever heard, but their videos (especially "OB" and the video for "On Fire") are absolute genious. They are going straight to the top.
hay uncle john how are you how Rome thinks for the guitar pick, shirt, hat, and everything else i have everything of yours ya that's right peoples that dude john the lead singer is my uncle and the tall dude with spiky hair is my brother and the short looking funny dude is my brother love u Matt/bu-bu and Joel and uncle john
@sstrudell These guys are fantastic, the only reason I looked them up was because Monkey Junk is doing a few gigs with them. Check out Monkey Junk as well, looks like a great double bill.
These guys are THE TRUTH!!! Ever since their first album 'Blackwater' came out I always kept them in the back of my mind. Finally gave in this year and bought all their stuff. A band this good should be known by EVERYBODY out there!!!
J.J. Grey one of the few saving graces on today's music scene. It's nice to see actual talent rising to the top amid the pop-garbage American Idol culture that they're trying to force feed everyone.
I agree, these guys sound great and are getting better by the show. I've seen them grow from the beginnings and a oct. show in santa fe blew me away, then in detroit another great show. Keep it going, Orangle Blossoms is a great cd.
