Hey dude, from the first stage where his arm is round the bottom I have seen a technique which involves holding them tight, locking your ankles and completing the choke with a non triangle shape.
the guy on the top doesn't counter the triangle correctly. If the guy on the top does that, the bottom guy got (with or without belt) a wrist lock or a kimura. If none of those two, at least a sweep, even if the guy on top is a lot heavier.
What happen when the guy on the top counter the triangle correctly, this is what I'd like to see.
So you're saying that no one will ever counter a triangle this way? Uh-huh.... And I guess that there's only one way to counter the triangle, right? And that's the one way that you're referring to??? Okkkaaayyyy....
I really don't like when people post comments like this. I try to help out each and every person- but this is ridiculous. Hard to get that wrist lock/kimura without being able to grab his wrist bc it's under his thigh- might need to go to omo-plata!
No disrespect to your awsome work, but if the triangle is not closed, why the top guy should put his arm there and get stuck when he still can escape from the triangle backward? If he is srtonger and/or heavier, he can escape looking upward, or override the guy on the bottom.
Provided that the guy on the top dosen't know that, he'll defend like shown and the omoplata is the best attack.
You are very good at showing and explaining excellent moves so again no disrespect for you.
Understandable... However, if I did close the triangle while explaining this technique, my partner would have passed out long before I showed the omo-plata.
i love all your videos dude! i put them on my iphone and watch one before rolling and then try the new moves that night, works like a charm! keep them coming you're doing GREAT!

Is this a good technique?

@lolfag93 sounds like the 'teepee'. that's more of a crank. You could also switch the legs from standard triangle and attempt the bolt lock.

Why don't you figure four your legs for the omoplata? I'm just wondering if it's for a specific application or if it is just preference.

Ooh, that side shuffle/scoot towards the camera during the Omoplata is nice. Gonna try that later this week, thanks!
