apparently, my grandfather was constantly mistaken for Bing Crosby back in the day. I noticed the similarity only 15 years after my grandfather passed and I heard Bing do this song for the first time. great song, even to a Jewish kid who grew up celebrating both Christmas and Hannukah

Sang this as a kid when I lived in Hawaii in the late '50s. Always a pleasant song. Brings back a lot of memories of Hawaii before the '60s tourist onslaught and construction frenzy changed the islands forever.

My dad taught me much about music, if it wasn't for him I would never have listened to Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Johnny Cash, Hank Snow, Ronnie Milsap, and Kenny Rogers. Different genres of music but all good, and now thats my outlook on music. This will be the first Christmas without him and he will be missed.

I believe it was like late 50's or early 60's and I remember the record with this song on it and the label was MCA and it was the Black label with a Rainbow ..I think the MCA release I own with this was a reissued version of an older release or it was the original.

Keep your arguements elsewhere. This song is Bing Crosby singing about Christmas in Hawaii. It has nothing to do with rap. So why are you arguing about that genre at this video. Bing had all sorts of artists on his show. Ever seen the video with him and David Bowie signing the Littlle Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth? So peace on earth and Mele Kalikimaka.

No worries, loved this song even when I was a kid never dreaming one day that we would spend 4 Christmas' in Hawaii and 4 fabulous years there and that we'd leave with a little Makana to always remind us of beautiful Hawaii. When we retire for good we'll be back there in Ewa Beach.

what a great song by Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters.. I really dunno when the actual album with this song was released. I believe it was like late 50's or early 60's and I remember the record with this song on it and the label was MCA and it was the Black label with a Rainbow ..I think the MCA release I own with this was a reissued version of an older release or it was the original.
