amesquita11 ,sorry that you missed the point ,i have been around boxing for 35 years and after watching dela hoya fight most people because of patriotic pride cant see that he is a self promoting fraud ,this guy only got recognition because he was born in america ,there have been superior boxers from mexico that because of the language barrior do not get the same recognition

Simply, because he said that he would face the winner of Cotto vs Margarito. Now because he saw how Tony demolished Cotto he decided to make Manny Paqcuiao go up two divisions to make an absurd fight. DLH stands 5'10", he fought up to 160 and Manny started his career at 106 pds, so obviously he has no word or credibility. This fight is a disrespect to the sport. DLH fears Margarito!!!!

Perhaps he should be, but this fight take a lot of credibility away from him. A lot of people is upset with the making up of this fight. There are more money-making atractive fights for the fans, Williams, Cotto, Margarito, etc, but Manny? mmmmnop!!!!!

I have to recognize that he is a great businessman, not a sportman. Its not about who makes more money, its about who left his legacy trough this sport. There's no more of that era of Hagler, Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Benitez, etc who fight each other for the love of boxing. DLH wants to retire healthy and its obvious that he would get really beaten badly against Margo. If he cannot fight the best out there in the division, then why continuing fight?
