9017 at Llangollen

Gorgeous engne! I remember eating my school lunch sandwiches in the cab of a Dukedog on the dead engine line at Croesnewydd.

9017 looked and sounded great double-heading with City of Truro at Steam, Steel and Stars 2.

One day was devoted to 4-4-0 locos, these two sharing the line with LNER D.49 Morayshire.

Don't know if 9017 will be back by the 25th next month as I'm not sure how long she's staying at the Llangollen but I'll image she'll stay in black for this year's Giants of Steam to beef up the line-up for the w/e.

Just seen Llangollen loco roster and the gala is still on the 25th! Got confused with south devon earlier in April. She is also booked on a charter on the 31st April so I'm guessing a late May return to Sheffield Park.

Any idea of how long she should be in black?

Just wondered as I would love to see it but can only get to the Bluebell when my Dad can take me.

With a bit of luck she'll be back and running on the 25th April when we are going to try and see 34059.
