  • @cyprokka You're the Queen's bitch

  • i didnt get this film........it ends with music from elgars nimrod...........pretty much as british as you can get............hardly australian

  • Of course they had to have that sex scene in there x_x

  • never saw the movie but i discovered explosions in the sky from this trailer, amazing band

  • Wasn't Australia a nation founded from criminals dumped there because of overfilling detainment centers in England?

  • @davedavedaveannoy1 before you moch australia, do research, the crims were from ireland, dumbass

  • Watch Australia Trailer in HD (1080p) here:

    youtube. com/watch?v=mfI4hK9I2k0

  • nicole's crappy acting ruined it. i liked how unique a story it was, and i've never seen a movie in which aboriginals looked good. but i don't believe in the "stolen" generation, because it wasn't stolen. times were tough, families were finding it hard to feed their kids, so their half-cast kids got left behind. they had to be taken away. rudd was an idiot to apologise.

by the end of the film, i had the sound on mute because i couldn't stand nicole's overacting and constant gasping anymore.

  • remembered of Tarzan when i watched this

  • Great trailer, horrible film.

  • Good movie

  • this movie sucked especially that fucking kid

  • What's the song at 1:27?????

  • If only Quentin Tarrentino could re edit the movie, it could hold the audience.

  • whats the name of the song in the background?

  • The Initial Part is "The Only Moment We Were Alone" by "Explosions in the Sky" from the album "The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place"

    American Instrumental Rock Band.

    Awesome Music.

Later Part Is The "Australia Theme" (Movie Theme)

  • i love this movie aussie aussie aussie

  • Oye! Oye! Oye!

  • Well, you can blow me, prick.

  • land of the convict.

  • and proud of it.

  • Proud of having our flag in yours. I bet you are.

  • Proud of the fact we started out as scum, and surpassed our once owners to become a greater and stronger nation.

Just remember who sent troops to save your wet little shit stain of an island in 1914 and 1939...

  • Well to be fair, the french did actually conquer us in the 11th century, so...

  • ashes are home.... for once

  • @fondoogle yeah, you were just to pussie to fight back the roman empire

  • @fondoogle

proud of having muslims run England? i bet you are.

  • @cmndo

    Muslims run England?

We're an 85% white majority. And about 3% muslim.

Nice to see our flag still flying in australia though.

    Forever our bitches.

  • @fondoogle shame england is still ruled by a monarchy. unfortunately cant join us in the 21st century. forever stuck in the middle ages ;)

  • It was a great movie and I loved watching it. But, I feel they should have put more of Brandon (Nullah) into the trailer. A bit too much Hugh and Nicole there... But, overall, it was a pretty good trailer.

  • i love this movie

  • whats went wrong with this game is it the acting? or story? or the actors.. i think this movie was ok

  • I was watching this yesterday and I think it's really good movie!

Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman played very well.

However you will say I'm never gonna think this is bad film.

  • Hollywood movie = Bullshit

  • must...kill...baz lurman

  • don't diss baz lurhmann. baz lurhmann is my idol

  • yeah i agree with u there mate, if baz luhrman just focused on the war I think the film would've uncovered alot of australia's historical secrets which havent been taught to us all.

  • god,i wish they just made this into a war movie,i mean it can have a bit of drama and stuff but come on,only the action made ppl, think it might be good

  • uuh. Full of bad comments. I loved this flim... well the beginning was strange but as it went on it got better :) I felt connected with the characters and cried a lot ! Yea, it was long and for several times i thought it was ending but it went on. Overall though it was great !!

  • You took the words right outta my mouth.

  • Kind of off-topic, but why is australia so damn strict about video game ratings?

  • we're not. we just dont have an R18+ rating because our government regulating body is all a bunch old farts.

it will be implemented very very soon.

  • That sucks. But i'm glad it will change, so you guys get to have un-censored games! :)

  • I truly loved this movie (it feels like a throwback to the old romance films from the early 20th century), but at nearly 3 hours long it was a bit excessive. There are points where it reaches climax and begins to lull and you think its ending but then it continues on for quite a while longer. All in all, great story, great actors, - bad editing.

  • I loved it up until the story changed. The cattle working story was great, but then it changes to family and the war. too bad.

  • only good scene was the darwin bombing and even that sucked and lasted for a couple of minutes. this movie was too damn long and i didnt really give 2 shits about any of the characters. especially that nullah kid he was annoying as hell. i never got what was so important about faraway downs and and what the cattle crap had to do with anything. i give this movie a 2/5 and would probably not see it again for a VERY long time.

  • This movie was absolutely horrible. It was corny, predictable, and the acting was horrendous. I decided to rent the movie because the trailer looked good and I was sorely disappointed

  • This is my personal opinion:

This movie felt LONG! There are long movies that don't feel long but this felt too long! You must have patients to watch the whole thing.

I felt distant from the characters...idk why? I just didn't really care about them..

I guess there was nothing that really hooked me...it felt like it was trying to be something it couldn't, like it had all been done before idk...but i LOVE everybody in it!

  • I loved the movie but I kinda agree with you, it literally felt like two movies in one for me....once the attack hits on Darwin, I was like, "am I still watching the same movie?" It was really dragged out at some points, and I felt that some things weren't necessary, but I still liked the movie.

  • I love Nicole Kidman, but she's done some work on her face and when watching this movie her face was a little distracting to me. Although, I absolutely loved this film and the acting was superb by everyone !!

  • Download australia for free!

    /watch?v=253cjLOfH7k

    add youtube[.com]

  • you stupids what is the difference between you[australia] and the terrorists you are killing the innocent indians

  • the last song is tristan from two steps from hell.

  • Comment removed

  • What in gods name could you possibly have against nicole kidman!?

  • Just because it is, it doesn't mean it should be . yes this the most line i liked

  • Reminds me of Titanic because the whole two worlds thing...

  • Get the hell out then

  • yeah get out then, why are you even here? aust is a heaps good country have you been everywhere in it? obviously not. probs to the average parts

  • wtfff iss your probleemm mannn

    australiia is the best country

if you dont thiink it is then dude u have friickennn problemms mattee

  • This is a propaganda movie of anti-Japanese.

There is no fact that the Japanese military landed in Australia. There is also no fact that Aborigine was killed by Japanese soldier.

This movie has to begin from the situation which many Aborigine is killed by British criminals and they founded Australia.

  • Anybody looking for a true romantic epic, watch Gone With The Wind

  • well you are in titled to your own opinion but you don't have to criticize the movie so much.

  • i thought it was shite and the only good part was when Hugh Jackman gets his kit off...i mean phwoar!

  • Does someone know which is the song that the Japanese sings, in the scene of the first kiss, which touches with a guitar??

  • This movie is the greatest load of "codswallop" I have ever seen. As an Australian I had to view it in small doses over about 3 days. It was frankly that embarrassing. Get your hand off it Baz !

  • ahh this movie was soooooo gooooooddd!!!!!

i love the little boy Nalah he is adorable <3 hehe. great movie!

  • Hugh jackman - best actor in the world =)

  • this movie was so good.

it was well made and interesting.

very similiar to the "ben hurrs" of the sixties, etc. true epic movies. the last for hours, have multiple plots going at the same time, etc.

if you like long romantic, action packed movies: WATCH IT! i'ts amazing.

  • I'm Australian and this movie is shit.

  • O filme é maravilhoso eu adorei!

  • ILUV DIS MOVIE!!!

  • Stop being racist.

  • Yes, it's a shit movie. But, fuck off you American piece of arrogant shit. The Grand Canyon pales in comparison to Australia's canyons and gorges. Learn to spell you fat dumbfuck, and learn some respect as well.

  • yeah, what is the name of the first song? :(

  • name of first song paleeeeeze!!!!!

anyone who sends a reply is a legend..

  • Explosions in the sky "the only moment we were alone"

  • i do not think this should have been called australia....

far to broad for just "one little story"

what about all the other things that happened...

  • kraaaasny film..oplati sa ho vidiet...aj som si nad nim poplakala :))

  • Whats the second song?

    GREAT MOVIE, BTW!!!

  • i'd rather aussie actors do the movie

    than those english & americans.

    my pov.

  • Looked like an average, typical, cliché, but decent movie up until 1:20. Then it just became shit and made me not wanna see it. I hate those sentimental, cliché "war" movies.

  • I can't wait to watch this tonight! I heard that the Wizard of Oz is in it which is my all time FAVE movie so...this movie looks really good

  • I love the music from the first minute... does anyone know what it's called?

  • does somewone know where i can find that air alarm on 1:22

  • i would watch this if im like 50 years old

  • response to one of the vid response to this vid:

Wafaa Constantine, the wife of a coptic christian priest who had converted to Islam in 2004 has been killed by coptic priests in the Nartrun monastery (Egypt). Mrs. Constantine, who was taken to Natrun for meeting with the Orthodox Pope Shinoda at the time, has not been seen ever since. News coming out of the monastery confirmed her death as a result of severe torture.

  • by the looks of this trailer..... very

  • ...the movie or the trailer?

The budget for the movie was $130 million, if you must know.

    The cinematography is gorgeous, too.

  • I loved this movie.

My sister rent it just because of me and we all loved it.

I have to buy this movie. A classic, really!

Nicole Kidman was amazing (my favourite actress) and Hugh Jackman was the BOMB (I'm a crazy, hysterical, mad fan of Hugh Jackman so... you can see what I mean)...

Never thought this movie would so good as it was! But it surprised me!

  • I wonder if the old-man nicknamed King George was played by a real bush-man. I notice his calm when he escape from prison during the bombardment of harbour and he watch the strange things upon the skies and see the buildings and ships blow up around him and he wasn't affraid.

  • what is the song in the beginning?

  • explosions in the sky - the only moment we were ever alone

  • I love this movie it made me cry and love the movie so much more. I love the actors, music, and scenery.

  • Explosions in the Sky as soundtrack <3, best!.

  • the music doesn't fit the movie!

  • HUGH JACKMAN!! one word.. HOT!

  • AMAZING !!! A MODORN CLASSIC i cried, i laughed,and i respected

  • best aussie moviee everrr...i've never criedd so much in a movie!

  • agreed. i cry every time at that part. i love mungarri. :(

  • This is an awsome movie, caught it in Itunes :)

  • almost cried?

    i never cry.

    never. ever.

and this movie made me cry..

    3 different times.

  • thats what i wanna know. why were white aussies.

  • What brand of cider do they have on tap in Australian pubs?

  • "Home Brand tap cider"

  • I googled that name and it yielded zero results. Besides, it's not really "home brand" if you're drinking it in a commercial establishment, now, is it?

  • what do you mean by "cider" and home brand is just an inexpensive generic brand of products sold in grocerry stores...

  • ahaha smart ass...

have life down pat dont ya..

  • Just because it is, doesn't mean it should be

  • i almost cried in this movie, it contains every genre

  • C'est pas parce que c'est comme ca que ca doit être comme ca!

You will find this movie excellent if you are still alive inside! The end with Drover and Boom in the bar "the territory".... classic!

    9 stars :)

  • No your right the Japanese just focused on massacring Chinese, Malay, Burmese, Formosan, Korean, Manchurian, Filipino, Indonesian, Papua New Guinean, Thai, Mongolian, Indochinese and Pacific Islander people. Much better logic dickhead.

  • mate awesome movie seen it 2 time's now and it still has me stunned, about all this racisim I'm a Maori our ancester's were treated like second class citizen's, but that was then this is now......don't judge a whole by the action's of a few.....like the movie for what it is, beautiful scenery, awesome story line and a great love story with a happy ending

  • Just because it is, doesn't mean it should be (L)

  • If you really wanna be correct on history you would know it wasnt only Aussies that killed abos. It was the french, Brits ect & most of it was done by the Brit cons. And yes I know most of the ppl that live in Aus are decendants from those brit cons, But dont be like well its your fault cus lemme tell you, seppos bought abos as slaves too. So yea, back in the 1800's the people that lived in Aus wasnt the nicest of ppl. But that doesnt mean you have to bash on us now.

  • I wonder if every ausie has studied history??

  • yes we have , is that supposed to be a derogatory remark...

  • we dont study it, we get taught at school...

  • i don't remember drover punching anyone in the tux in the movie.

  • Oro? some one's pissed at the world. and japan did'nt target the aboriginals in the movie...they were after the aussies. war is something that should only be in fiction.

  • EXPLOSIONS YESSSSS

  • Look they werent blaming the japanese for the Abo slaughters. Yes aussies were the ones that did it (but WWII did its damage also). But it is historical fact that the Japanese did attack Australia because it was a port. It was actually as big a Pearl Harbor.

Now if you wanna be hypocritical why not look at the American Indians and their slaughter. Seriously mates.

    And Aussies rule!

  • I recon that this movie was heaps good but there are some things that I would of changed.

First and most importantly I would not have cast Nicole Kidman in this film. She is an overrated actress who ruins almost every film that she is in. I would have cast an English actress such as Kate Winslet.

Secondly, Baz Luhrman did what he did with all his films and began in a kind of comedic way and then made it really serious. I think is should have been consistantly serious the entire way through.

  • This movie is shameful stuff for gloss over the white Ausie's inhuman historical crime.

The man who slaughtered innocent Aborigines are white Ausie. Not Japanese.

  • I really want to see this movie!!!!!!!!

  • it's awesome really

  • Declaration of war ?

  • awesome! Zero-fighter!!

  • What's the first piece of music called??? Australia is my all-time favourite movie - I can't get enough of it!

  • The song is:

The Only Moment We Were Alone, by Explosions in the Sky (great song)

  • What is the name of the last song?

  • to many girlie parts.

  • awesome movie, i love it

  • same as pearl harbor love war and japs same old same old

  • what is that beginning song?

  • Awesome Movie!

  • Whats the name of the first song?

  • Baz Luhrmann likes doing films about forbidden love doesnt he. moulin rouge, australia (sorta), and romeo and juliet. i love it :)

  • Anyone know the name of the song in the background, it's so chill. If you know please tell me. Thanks! :)

  • I've seen this movie more than four times, even though is so long I just love it.

    The best movie ever!!

An the best scene is the drover's shower... yummy

  • Please explain to me how this was a good movie :s It was so annoying, it felt like an ending all the time with cliff hangers, was watching it today...I thought it ended and was shouting in the cinema "NOOOO YOU LEFT A CLIFF HANGER, BITCH!" But then they added more...And more...And more, walked out after what felt like a weeks worth of watching.

  • good movie

  • The trailer looks so much better than the actual movie =\ I felt lured.

  • This movie is THE most amazing one I've ever seen. It makes you cry and laugh at the same time. So overwhelming. You NEED to see this one

  • You are 16, you haven't been alive long enough to have seen some of the greatest movies and this is not one of them i am afraid.

  • I wrote I found this to be the most amazing movie I've ever seen...opinion. But if you know some greater movies, please tell me, I would be delighted to see them and be as stunned as I was after seeing Australia.

BTW What are your problems with Australia? Cause I can't read your taste from here.

  • Don't mind me mate, i was being an absolute idiot and dick head when i responded to you because we hit 42 degree C temperature yesterday and i was a little bit delirious :( Today is 44 degrees but i am not as idiotic ...lol. In retrospec Australia is not a bad movie, its actually quite alright :) As far as great movies go, well there are many but one of the latest films that i saw recently that i absolutely loved was Clint Eastwood's "Gran Torino".

  • Yes, Australia was a decent movie, but not one of the best. However, how much you enjoyed it is entirely an opinion!

I liked it a lot, I saw it twice, but I wouldn't quite call it a "great" movie...

  • Agreed on all counts :) ... What IS a fantastic movie in my opinion is Gran Torino! One of the best i have seen in a very long time!

  • I haven't seen Gran Torino yet, but I have heard that it was good.

  • gran torino is good if your a clint fan, i just... "liked it" cuz im not into clint that much, his voice is so irritating :X

  • was it a happy ending of this movie. Did the guy or the girl die at the end? Just asking cause I dont like a love movie that ends like that. but i have seen some i do love that have ended like that. jw if you knew

  • Australia has a happy ending.

  • hahah good :)
