  • if this is a game...... What game is it , I like the graphics and the gravity physics!!!

  • what anti analyzing does?

  • For those of y'all looking for the difference between the original and the anti-aliasing clips, watch for the thin vertical rods (antenna, telephone poles). They exhibit some flickering due to aliasing when the angle of the frame slowly shifts.

  • @TheElephantOpera

Ah I thought this might be one of those 'Why show me how cool your TV is via my crappy TV' things, but I see the diff with the antennae.

    Thanks

  • I can't see any difference but that song is fucking anoying :-))

  • I play with 8x AA

  • @potato3able anti aliasing or AA is meant to smooth out any ruff or jagged edges in a graphic or game

  • can anyone tell me what is the difference?

  • I still cant tell no difference

  • am i the only one that cant tell a difference...? O.o

  • @1tach1m4ng3ky0u You probably don't know what to look at. If you look at the edges of things, such as the top of the vehicle with the treads (I don't know what to call it) you'll see a difference.

  • @dpq06 oh ok i got it.

is it worth enabling it on crysis if im playing in 1080p on a 32" tv?

dont worry, my comp can handle it

  • @1tach1m4ng3ky0u Well, you'll be able to make things out from a distance more easily. I guess you could just try it on full and see if you get a playable framerate, and if not, you can just tune it down until you do. And I don't think it really matters what resolution you use it on. (I'm no AA expert tbh)

  • AA seems to smooth it now I play with 4x AA with highest resolution and graphics possibleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • Now, if only AA wasn't so dam draining on performance, I try to run all my games on x4 MSAA if possible, but with an entry level card, SSAA is pretty well out.

  • whats the difference?

  • @playmovie696 With AA turned off the game works with 40 FPS, with 4XAA it works at 5 FPS.

  • @Hokusepokuse hm... i appreciate your answer but i meat graphically difference. i know with AA the game runs slow if you don't have a good system but i can't see the difference in graphics. is there something visible?

  • @playmovie696 I was just joking. Actually the edges are more smooth with AA turned on. So if your game is running at 640X480, antialiasing will make it much smoother, but if it is set to 1920X1080 you do not need AA, because there are already so many pixels- they will make everything look nice :)

  • nice =)

  • so which is better???without with 2x or 4x??

  • @babyfaceassassin21 I'd say your good with 2x. Most people can't even tell, but I can.

  • I'm so jelous of people who cant see the difference, people who cant see jaggies. Are my eyes just amazing or are these people blind? Well you guys are lucky you cant see them, you wont want to. Anyways, this is MSAA not SSAA, right? I still see alot of jaggies on 4x AA.

  • @Rynade I think it's MSAA. You are probably noticing some shimmering. Even with high AA it's hard to eliminate shimmering completely. I remember the times I didn't notice aliasing, ignorance is bliss.

  • can´t see any difference

  • anti aliasing is such a waste...

  • How cant you see any difference???

Look at the antenna and the cables at the tower..

    Its amazing the difference!!

  • No difference.Except the Frame rate off course....xD

  • @djaism wow butt hole how can you not see a difference

  • @flamingarse1 Butt hole?I'm sorry,asshole.....LoLoL

  • @djaism naw butt hole seems more precise you are the rectum and hole of and ass an ass is the part you see im calling you a butt pip pretty much

  • @flamingarse1 Are you OK?Ha ha You are ridiculous.

  • @djaism it your fault

  • i cant see any difference!!!

  • i can on portal first slice and half life two use these settings:

high shadowing, reflect world water, medium-high textureing, blur effect, anisotropic filter 4xcsaa, and anti aliasing 2x... but on tf2, high text, high shadowing, no blur, no anti or ani, why is that? lol

  • Anti-Aliasing Methode Used In This Video is FSAA, also known as SuperSampling Anti-Aliasing.

  • your lagging like omfg.... Buy the damn ati hd5970 or gtx490 please o sorry 2009 :/ explane allot...

  • Dear god what is that horrible music >.<

  • @neblixsaber I like it!

  • I think that when you go below the 1024x720 resolution, then you should consider adding some AA to it.

  • I always keep Anti Aliasing OFF with my 1920x1080 resolution. Even if i have a GTX 275, i keep it off because i want to get the maximum performance out of the card, Anti-Aliasing just drains too much power from it.

  • ok its, nice, but I want to SEE 32X antialing on dx11.

  • @Pozzoooo I did 32X on Spore once with nHancer, looks about the same as 16XQ

  • You must be blind if you cant see the difference. Look at the edges, its much more smooth with higher AA. Watch this if you want it explained /watch?v=OLf03IMLsLI

  • I see no difference

  • @NilNeiro Look at the beggining of the video at that thing like stairs at the backgraund and at the edges of the figures

  • @NilNeiro then ur blind

  • @NilNeiro

    Haha ur so fucking right

  • i find anti-aliasing useless it simply lags your system -_- and doesn't add any awesome effects

  • @MrZomg132 you only have to use AA at low resolutions, hig resolutions solve the problem, its just about the edges of the objects, not adding effects

  • What is the difference ??

  • @TheSwedez look at the stairs. with no anti aliasing, as the camera moves, the ladder seems to have rough edges on the outside. with aliasing 2x on, when the camera moves, you cant see that. at least i think thats the diference

  • @OllieDarkEmp94 Aha, lol

  • @morten2212 boss.... if u have so much time in the world to note the most minute difference, then either u should be a "professional" in gaming industry, or.. well, may be, .. get a life.

  • this dosent make any difference if u r playing at 1600 x 1050 or above

  • What you gotta look at are the edges to objects like the truck. With no AA, the edges "scitter" up or down as if pixels are obvious. 2x shows that they're there but less noticeable. Lastly, 4x is as close to photo-realism you can get.

A good test is character creation in Dragon Age: Origins. No AA, the armor's edges and features "scitter". Maxxed AA, the edges are perfect and so close to real life, it's scary.

  • I have LotRO and I have a Radeon HD 4670 and I play with all Ultra High graphics and 8x anti-aliasing! It's so cool, but too bad I don't have Vista to play with Directx 10 although Everything is pretty much the same when it's ultra high

  • i dont see any diference... :\

  • @diegofg10 look at the edges, at no anti aliasing there are major staircasing effects.with anti aliasing, the effect is reduced if you still cant see it watch it in high definition

  • @diegofg10

Watch in 720p hd in fullscreen mode, then you see ALOT of difference ;)

  • @diegofg10 me too :|

  • Well done, thank you for clearly showing how Anti-Aliasing helps make things look better.

If only my Wii had better anti-aliasing, or my TV...

  • @theknowbody Actually, the Wii DOES have anti-aliasing capability. Even Twilight Princess has a mild form of AA and it's a Gamecube Port.

  • A TV does not have anti-aliasing, it's the graphics card in your Wii that does that. But the Wii is relatively weak compared to the PS3 or 360.

  • if u can get x4 running smooth and with high fps then its worth it.

if you go anyhigher.... it not REALLY worth it.

  • understand !

    thx very much

  • This is a poor example as there are little edges.

Anti Aliasing makes the lines look sharper and all the snow in the shot fails to show case this.

  • @MrPiberius- Your just not looking in the right places. Everything has an edge. Yes, even the snow.

  • anti aliasing does games look much better

  • No AA: OMG; I canz playz!

2x AA: Wow... it´s nice, but kinda stoppie...

4x AA: Holy crap, all is so slo.o.o.o.o.w.w.w...

    :P

    J/k... nice vid. ^^

  • @xulasx 16x AAA: WTF BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

  • @xulasx 16xQ AA: WHAT THE FUCK BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM MWAAAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @xulasx I wonder what you would say for 32x XAA :D

  • @xulasx

AA is a performance killer, with a 6970 2gb i can safely set it to 4x in any game without it killing the frame-rate. 8x usually kills it.

AA makes most graphics much, much better and i´m disappointed how much it kills frame-rate in most games. Although if you have a radeon card like me, you´re better off using FXAA (If the game has it), which is a new kind of AA, for radeon it works much better is most cases.
