  • My god... so awesome

  • neat--keep on playing man!

  • Great sound and recording and btw, nice playing.

  • What's the guitar you're playing?

  • @PeterTheis This is a James Goodall Concert Jumbo in Cedar/ Mastergrade Koa

  • @crunkykong Great. Thanks for responding. One more quick question: How did you get such a clear recording out of the Zoom H2 without any hiss?

  • @PeterTheis Luck? lol Honestly, I havent the slightest idea.

  • @crunkykong Can you tell me what settings you used for recording? Please and thankyou =)

  • @modooglio All settings are default

  • I'm not a thumb-pick man myself.... but have you ever tried Bubble Bee hybrid thumb picks? You can adjust the depth, the angle (on the horizontal plane) and you can switch to flat-picking on the fly. It's basically a regular flat pick with a thumb loop and a swivel. As Miley Cyrus might say, "There pretty cool."

  • @Hoopermazing ...they're even...

  • @Hoopermazing I haven't, actually! I recall stumbling across them on the fredkelly website at one point, though. Thanks for reminding me about them, though! Think I'm gonna go pick up a few. Also, I think you were right the first time; Ms. Cyrus would very likely mix up "Their" "There" and "They're". lol

  • Beautiful

  • Cool :)

I know it's nothing to do with your song or the Zoom but... about the thumb pick: how long have you been using them? I keep sabotaging my own sound by biting my thumb nail off and I wondered if I could work a thumb pick on my 12-string. Any ideas or suggestions?

  • @mollythesard I've been using a thumbpick for about 3 years. They work great for some things, but I generally prefer the sound of a bare thumb best. I had been a nail biter for my entire life until deciding to use my nails to play. I don't really have a ton of experience with the 12 string, but you can definitely use a thumb pick with one. There are of course tons of pros and cons to both manners of playing. I'd suggest being able to do both. :D

  • @crunkykong just got your reply...

I still haven't actually bought a thumb pick. I'm so forgetful/lazy (delete where appropriate). I will remember now. Thanks for the reply :)

  • Really excellent playing. I also love the mics tone, seems to give the guitar's true voice. You now have a new subscriber!

  • I want to see you play the whole song :)

    I love that song.

  • Nice job! Can you pls. tell me, when you're recording, the first song would be on file 1. Then the second song would be on file 2? If you make a mistake on the second song and want to do it over, that song would be on file 3? When you convert the files to your computer, do you just pick the good files? One more, I think there are only 10 files on the H2. If you have 12 songs to record, you have to delete 2 files to make room? Many thanks!!!

  • Amazing and played with great skill, sir. So would you say H2 is worth purchasing for some home, indie recording i.e. guitar + vocals? Your recording sounds remarkable yet I'm still hesitating and considering other options. I would really appreciate some input from an experienced musician. Anyways, rock on!

  • i recently purchased the zoom h2 to record my acoustic guitar but i have a problem. the audio is way too quiet. when i listen to it on my zoom h2 is loud but i when i open the file on itunes i can barely hear it with my volume on full.

    what settings do you use?

  • @becky8610 I'm only using the front two mics. I usually set the gain high. The gain level and the placement of the mic seem to have the most dramatic effect in my experiences with this thing. Notice how close to the sound hole mine is. Also, sorry it took so long for me to respond!

  • Nice one man, great playing and sound. Was this recorded line in with the usb? or transferred separately and does it make a difference?

  • @falconer333 Straight through the usb and into iMovie. The recording is completely dry, too.

  • @crunkykong Very nice man, sorry for the double post! Great playing too!

  • @falconer333 Oh, don't worry about it! Thanks a bunch dude!
