@kasumi02 The bolt locks to the rear when your mag runs out obviously. Then after you slap another mag in all you do is tap the bolt lock or pull the charging handle and it chambers a round and your ready to fire again. This is a qual range and you don't close the ejection port because the range safety personel have to visually clear your weapon after each mag is finished. Then once the range control says lock and load such and such mag your getting ready to scan your lanes to continue. Thx
ah. the way i did my basic at the ranges in the CF was totally diffrent. always entered and left the range with bolt fully forward and ejection port covered. we only engage the bolt catch while reloading or to fix jams with the chargin handle (which i assume you already know). anyhow thanks for clearng things up.
Wow. Apparently the nasty girls do things a bit differently. I've only seen qual done in prone and foxhole support positions. I can only imagine that extra few feet would make target spotting a breeze.
What and where is this range you were shooting on when you did this? We always had to be in the prone when in a supported position. I think I would have done so much better than a 31 if I had shot here lol!
@BigManD88 huh? prone supported is the easiest position. kneeling sucks for stability (the only shots i usually miss, but i dont get to practice alot either....)

We are on a qualification range! You don't carry it in the low ready. Weapon is pointed up and down range. You would know that if you have ever been on an Army qual range. Other than that yes you carry it in low ready.
We use Colt mainly I have seen a few Bushmasters and Stag Arms M4 carbines. But majority are colts Its a great weapon if you maintain it properly. The Army contract with colt is ending very soon and now the Army can choose other manufacturers and models! We really need an upgrade for the dirty environments we now face on the current battlefield. Hopefully we will goto piston upper recievers and get away from the gas style and use the 6.8 caliber not 5.56 round
Very cool video man. I want an A4 real bad so....I'm building one! Semi auto of course. What brand of rifle was that? Colt or FN? Thanks for the video and your service to this great country. Stay safe.
i wish our qual was this easy.

How come you leave the ejection port open with bolt fully to the back (other then to hit the bolt catch vs charging handle)?
