  • which pixel is the court?

  • On my death bed I will cry out, "where did that 2 mins and 30 seconds go???" "Why did I waste them on some shitty youtube video???"

  • He's a great magician...making the ball dissapear in his hand at 1:08!!

Regarding tennis coaching...hmmmmm....what a load of BS...

  • Just to correct everyone's stupidity. Yes the video is mediocre at best but it has a couple good points.

No Man's land: Horrible idea to be there unless you are coming in because as soon as you get a deep ball you're done. (Agassi excluded)

Moving forward with your shot is called proper footwork. The key is to move in as you strike. Just watch federer. Or this video which explains it well: youtube.com/watch?v=R5CWAwtijVI

And of course. You attack at net.

  • WHAT......THE.....FUCK.....

  • there shit drills

    hahahah shiitt

  • this is stupid. Just said he jump to create space for acceleration.

  • maybe you can learn to write in english so that people will understand your comments

  • 1.20. This is a running backwards front foot hop with a side kick for balance. Use this when you have a floating ball. Federer uses this a lot, ripping a ball outside-in down the line. I would teach this to advanced players!

  • yea i dont know about the color coding part. I can see this guy is hanging out in no mans land. if this wasn't a drill, i'm not sure how effective his overall game would be. and what did the first half of this video have to do with the second? i dunno.

  • what a bunch of bullshit

  • Interesting.

You say that, by pushing the right leg forward (about 1:20 in your video), more weight is pushed into the ball; however, I'm wondering how weight can be transferred into the ball by actions which take place AFTER the ball has left the strings.

  • wait... once the ball leaves the strings, you wouldn't be able to do anything to the ball... Am i right??

  • Babolat3216:

Right. Once the ball leaves the strings, you're no longer touching the ball, so your actions can no longer affect that ball, correct?

  • Yep. The follow through is made so that proper stroke mechanics are made and you will not get injured. Also gives more push on the ball. But you can't affect the ball once it leaves the strings..

  • you don't know how tennis works... this is to avoid being out of balance, injury and specially improper position if you don't follow the mechanics., improper position leaves you vulnerable when the ball comes back at you...! understand?

  • nO mAN'S lAND iS aCTUALLY iRONONIC iN a sENSE tHAT tHEY tEACH uS nOT tO sTAY THERE bUT mOST oF tHE tIME iT'S mORE lIKELY yOU'LL cOME uP wITH wINNER sHOTS fROM iT...

  • in no mans land you hit more winners yes, but you never stay there

you move up from back court to move in for a winner

  • The first drill is a good one. Doesn't help much with stance, but it gives you a feel for your contact point. But the guy who was doing it, hit nothing but moonballs.

But these aren't pro drills. Pro drills are more active and repetetive. Maybe the second is a college level drill at best (doubt it though). High school drill more likely, because this isn't a very good drill. Too much variation.

  • fails as PRO level

    Doubles ally rally....

Both people stand in the doubles alley and you mustkeep the ball in the alley with pace.

now that is a very skill requiring drill.

  • im loving those shorts haha!<3

  • the black man is like James Blake...

  • why on earth is he standing in the no mans land/....

  • There is no such thing as no mans land. That is just a guide for dummies. But pros will boldly go where no man has gone before. Why? Because they can. And because a short ball will have to be hit there. I realize that if you become stuck in no mans land, you want to go up to the net, but I guess he was just working on letting it bounce and practicing an attacking shot. But you are right, he would need to go up to the net after the attacking shot or approach shot.

  • there is a no mans land idiot.

  • no mans land does exist, its a tennis term and from wat u sed ur saying that pros stay in that area??

    i dont think so

  • "Pro" drills????????????

  • lol this is worthless. geez
