  • i doubt all of us who say we are hatfields are really hatfields. I'm a Hatfield, my grandfather was William Hatfield, his dad was Estelle (i believe that was his name) and his dad was Devil Anse.

  • Devil Anse is my 4th great uncle on my mothers' side , his wife is my mothers' mothers' mothers' sister and Rand'l Mccoy is my 4th great uncle on my fathers side. I would suggest to anyone who has questions or is just that daggone curious to come on over to WV and KY anywhere near their borders and all your questions will be answered in full.

  • it is very interesting to continue to learn about the feud. my family really didn't talk about it much but when my great-grandmother was still alive she would tell us stories that she was told. she was a Hatfield baby and she passed when she was almost a hundred.

  • I'm a direct descendant of this McCoy Family. I just read an article on yahoo news about some tumors that may have caused these two families to fight like they did. The urine test and the ultrasound just came back positive. If you are a McCoy contact me.

  • Your very welcome. There is also a book called "Feuds of Eastern Kentucky" (I think that is the name of it) that has alot of details on this.
