Honestly I'm a grizzlies fan, but as long as he's in Memphis his skills are limited because Memphis has too much talent in their guards. Maybe if he was the only Good guard in Memphis he would be forced to show out, but he has to share the spotlight with; Conley, Young, Williams and others i can't remember now. Basically what I am saying is that Mayo will be good( possibly as good as Kobe in about 3yrs) as long as he is traded on a different team.

OJ should've been R.O.Y. This kids got game no doubt about it, he'll make his mark on the game just like the rest of the superstars now... He'll def be in the All Star Game, he could possibly help the Grizzlies contend in the playoffs and maybe in the NBA Finals and also an option for Coach K to be in the USA Team. He reminds me so much of Kobe. He is like Kobe but slightly smaller and he seems to be a little bit quicker as a result, I'm aware Kobe is 9 years his senior but even Kobe in his hay day wouldn't be Mayo quick. Kobe is an elite defender though, when he wants to be, and has 13 years of experience and multiple championships under his belt.

It's a shame Mayo isn't 2-3 inches taller, he's still the type of player you can build a team around regardless.

I need time to compare him and derrick rose, they have talent to become big players. I prefer Rose but he has to improve his long-range shoot and clutch, mayo is a better shooter at the moment.

There isn't much that he can't do on the floor. He can shoot it, has underrated ability to get to the rim(his problem is finishing) definately can shoot it, handle, is willing to play D, and although his assist numbers don't look this way, he can pass and is a willing passer.

once juice monster starts to finish more of his shots around the basket and actually get a mentality that he wants to avg 28 ppg, duke will be virtually unstoppable. He can do all of this by next year too.
