I thought the original vid really did go well with this song. I liked the lead singer dressed up as a sort of cruel-fate-clown laughing his butt off at the dramas people put themselves through. An idea for you internet boy/girl wonder Zuckerberg types: start a website where we can watch original vids for 5 or 10 dollars a month like the streaming movies on netflix. I'd do it myself, but I'm an old technoboob. The record companies would get their royalties and 80s vid fans could see their faves!

One of the definitive 80s songs that people probably remember without knowing who the group was. The sparkling keyboards really do the gorgeous melody justice and the beat just adds something that's both emotional and fun. The lyrics are deep, but not so deep that you can't just have fun listening to the song. Even the lyrics "diamond dreams" seem to be what the song is all about.....it really is like a diamond. I always wished the song played longer, it's just too good to end after 3:47!!!!!

Music videos have slowly been being swooped down by Youtube and VEVO and getting their audio disabled. I hope that doesn't happen to this video. I love this song and listen to this actual YTube video by girjjk56 like at least once a week. I recently saw a video for the Godfather theme that had been up for 2 years and had almost 1 million views....YouTube swooped in about 1 month ago and disabled its audio crying about copyright. The user who uploaded was not profiting what so ever on the video.
