reason why so many people want the games is cause they will have to pay for it over 30 years i mean every country that has to host a major event will have to pay for it loko at south Africa next year they too have to build 13 new stadiums for the world cup soccer im amazed how many people dont want the olypmics

Believe it or not. I've been to Vancouver and I liked the city as much as their historical significance and of their heritage. I believe that the olympic game at Vancouver will be a ground breaking chance for all the athletes all over the world( and especially the United States and Mexico) to get together and to do their best. I also hope that the relationship between the US, Canada and Mexico will improve-the challenges are all too real, as neighborly countries with lengthy conflicts.

Nice place sure, best place not a chance. We only get 2-3 months of warm summer weather a year and the rest its grey, rainy, dreary and depressing, and the people aren't particularly friendly. I'm excited for the games, I think BC's a perfect place for them to take place. You can't even speak proper English. Vancouver isn't building anything big like Montreal. Also, sponsorship revenues for 2010 are up by 150%, not to mention that Vancouver had the best technical bid plan according to the IOC Evaluation Commission for 2010.
