It's not tourettes if there is no vocal aspect to it, such as grunting, throat clearing or sniffing. I have had the same issue since I was 10. I'm 19 now and it's a stress coping mechanism that, for me, is most uncontrollable in times of stress.
if this kind of "hard" (or maybe "strong") blinking is her ONLY tic, then it cannot be tourettes syndrome cuz she needs to do vocal tics + this motor tic (the eye blinking). furthermore, it has to be at least one (1) year since these 2 tics (I mean motor+vocal) are happening.
I have TS and it definitely looks likea TS tic, but you have to have vocal as well as motor tics to qualify as having TS - and I hope you never get them. The neuro I see said lots of people who have TS come to her but they don't have TS because they're only motor (physical) tics. Anyway the thing to do is go to see your doctor and s/he can refer you to a neurologist if you have any concerns about. Best wishes

It could be tourettes. I have it very mildly, before I got medicated this was one of my tics.
