So the intermixing of races was discouraged amongst both Blacks and Whites. The purpose of my video was simply to examine how White women were pushed to cross racial lines by restriction. But then again, slavery has affected us differently over here. Minoroties in Europe are here by choice (although many are the descendants of slaves). They came here willingly for "a better life". Unfortunately, that's not always the case in the US.

2)Ultimately, travel showed me my prejudice had turned upside down. On a bus in San Diego, I heard a southern BM talking to the bus driver. I went up to ask him where he was from originally, and we had a great 30 minutes or so (non-flirty) conversation. He felt like home to me. 1)Well-developed theory, but maybe not completely a modern explanation. My BM attraction grows stronger as I grow older and it's more than wacky hormones. I think it's that with mature thinking comes re-evaluation of bias. I was taught as a southern girl to fear rapist/violent BM and was sent to an all white private school. But integrated college began breaking down stereotypes and getting into the work world further challenged BM fallacies ...cont.

Most American's stay within America to find their mate, so the odds of white people only representing 9% of the world is irrelevant cuz they're the majority in America. If you read literature, you'll see these same scenarios discussed, depicted, and debated. If you've ever read a slave narrative, you'll see how the slave speaks of their mistress. Try Frederick Douglass or even Harriet Jacobs (or Wilson, can't remember at this time) but both of them show from the black male and black female point of view, the relationship between their masters and mistresses. Look up a book called Reconstructing Womanhood. Just cuz you don't "think" doesn't mean others don't.

I can't take offense. I'm not the best at speaking because my mind moves a mile a minute and while one thing is coming out of my mouth a million others are running around in my mind...I'm best on paper. If you watch my other video's you'll see that randomness is my specialty. lol. Randomness allows me the freedom to go off on tangents and stumble.
