While I don't disregard Pretty Lights talent, the way they remix this makes it much too choppy. it disrupts the original flow of the song. If they connected the chopped up parts it would have made for a much more enjoyable experience. They tried to keep the essence of the original song, and that's much more than what other people do, but in the end they failed.

The ending puzzles me, I think this may be an incomplete version of their remix.

There are many other artists that reach close, very close even equal. I only stated one, the one I believe has the most. My definition of soul is likely to be different than yours though.

Sampling good artists does not equal soul, but doing it in the way PL does it sure adds well. He makes the samples bleed emotion and compliment each other amazingly.
