Shame that Kyalami is not in this form anymore, would love to have see the likes of Hamilton, Rosberg, Kubica and co driving round this layout, they would have enjoyed it because it was a fast flowing circuit which was a good challenge. Tom Pryce is at 4.35 near the pitwall not at 4.38, that's his team mate Renzo Zorzi who should've gone into the pits to retire not on the crest of the hill, having said that he didn't know he was going to inadvertently cause the death of Pryce and Van Vuuren.

The last white car at 4.38 is Tom Pryce.I guess the reason why all tracks now days are very wide is to avoid horrific accidents that plagued F1 in the 1970's.Imagine the fuss drivers today will make of the corners of Kylami 1977!

in my oppinion the greatest ever to race ANY car, who died in a crash, would have been jim clark, because he raced not only in F1, but at the same time also Indy, Sportscars (LeMans), touring cars and F2 being in every type of car.

I think the reason why Senna´s death is the most mentioned one, because it is the most recent one, and it was a real star driver at the same time, in times of big media coverage and fatal crashes not really being seen as part of racing anymore.

Agreed. I dont like the new tracks like Bahrain, Turkey or China. Theres nothin special about them. They are just very wide tracks wih corners.

I think it never caught on because the P34 did have problems. There was another couple, im pretty sure that Williams had a concept version once that also ran into problems so they scraped it.

You got the same dreams as me. To own one of them. They do look very fast but in the 2 years that theu run they had:

59 Starts

32 Finishes

and only won one race.

when you have more of evreything wheels suspension etc. there is more to go wrong and moer costly

in the end it wasn't practical

williams did make a version i thnik it was 82
