  • DALI!!

  • I love salvador dali!!! Adrian was perfect as Dali!!!!

  • and that my friends is how Adrian Brody paid his rent for another month

  • I love how he looks STRAIGHT at the camera right at the beginning. It's the most in-character moment in the scene.

  • 2 people don't see a Rhenocéros.

  • I want to see an interview about Brody and Midnight in Paris

  • Just saw this movie in an Oscar movie marathon... and "I see... a rhinoceros" was the best line all night!

  • @vampirealdys Not only that, the Academy recognized it with "Best Original Screenplay"... the only Oscar it got. Yay, Rhinoceros!

  • I adore Adrien....and this film!

  • Press 8

  • Brody is brilliant - the accent, the facial expressions. What a genius.

  • I laughed HARD at the end.

  • Brody steals the movie as Dali.

  • This is by faaaaaar the best scene in this movie. Adrien Brody is being a genius.

  • Ok, this is just too brilliant and now there can only be ONE actor in my head to portray Dali in a biopic. If only someone had the guts to do it right.

  • i'm from spain and his spanish accent is so fucking brilliant! amazing performance!

  • battle of the epic noses

  • "Bender. Benderrrr. Benderrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"

  • Two geniuses colliding here, with Brody and Woody Allen. Explosive and powerful in its depth and subtlety. Oscar please.

  • Adrien makes this scene completely fantastic!

  • "I paint rhinoceros. I paint you. Si. Your sad eyes and big lips melting over the hot sand with one tear.Yes, and in your tear, another face...the Christ face. Yes, and....rhinoceros." I DIED.

  • "Dali! Dali DALI!" Perfect accent.

  • listen Brody, lets hang out

  • I was only sort of enjoying this movie until this scene. It was INSPIRED casting and a great performance in my eyes.

  • 1:04 that face. respect dali, pardon, brody!!

  • Is the worst dali ever! the accent is good but the way that dali speak is crazy, dali was exentric not crazy. His voice was more powerfull and strong. And his eyes were to weak is just not a real personification of dali

  • @j1a2g3r The radio and TV I've seen of Dali he actually say more crazy things than in this clip. (he wasn't crazy though he was a "clown" by his own words) The acting, language and script is spot on.The voice of Dali differs from the sources I've heard. He seem to have gotten a more powerful voice over the years, but I can't find that many early recordings. In this clip he is pretty young. The worst Dali ever? I beg to differ ;) Fun and inspiring!

  • uuwielbiam Brodyego i Dalego <3 uwielbiam !

  • at 1.03 real impersonification of Dalì ...what a great Actor

  • Amazing film.

  • Woody Allen in top form. Couldn't stop laughing when I saw this scene. Adrien Brody is just hilarious!

  • just finished watching the movie and this part was just great!

  • You made YouTube complete by uploading this!

  • Fantastic Movie. This is a very good part.

  • A star like Adrien Brody doing such a small scene, this is the magic of Woody Allen, it doesn't have to have anything to do with the plot, it just had to be mesmerizing.

  • This movie was amazing!

  • THIS IS THE BEST PART OF THE WHOLE MOVIE!

  • beautiful.BRODY ROCKS :)

  • Is there a difference in the beauty between two, Rhenocéros, ES!

  • In my opinion, there should be a film about Dalís life, and Brody should without doubt play Dalí himself. By those three minutes or so, he just captured the character, the personage and the very nature of the actual man. I know, it is suppose to be a bit funny or goofy. But the way he acted, looked like ... Look at his eyes at: " ... with one teardrop ..." ... there we have Dalís expressions down to a f'cking nadsack!

  • @Motorskallen Agreed. My jaw dropped at the "one teardrop" line as in that statement he was the embodiment of Dali in modern cinema.

  • The rhinoceros make love by mounting the female...This kills me.

  • kiss me Adrien

  • to genialna scena:D Dali jest genialny! nie dziwię się, że w swoich pamiętnikach pisał że jest o siebie autozazdrosny :P

  • And they hired ROBERT PATTINSON to play Dali in Little Ashes?!

  • When I first saw this, I had forgotten that Brody was in it and than this scene comes up. Funniest scene in this movie that doesn't have Hemingway in it.

  • This is brilliant, lol.

  • DALI.

  • After constantly hearing the word rhinoceros while watching this scene 20 times after seeing this movie, I finally took up the mission to find out what the word rhenoceros means.

After a quick research I found out it's just a fancy name to a regular rhino. Which seems logical. I guess there are more stupid things you could do with your time.

Oh, and just to be clear, I'm not stupid, English is just not my first language :)

    Loved the film!

  • @Forza1991 I'd say that rhinoceros is the proper name of the animal; rhino is the shortened version. (I'm being a d*ckhole here, so don't mind me.) Awesome film.

  • Simply the best, charming romantic comedy in years. It was definetly Brody in the very beginning but deeper into scene there was no Adrian anymore but Salvador himself.

  • Brody - this was the best scene for me - I was finished!!Wish he could win an Oscar for his part.

  • DaliQuest

  • I HAVE BEEN SCOURING THE INTERNET FOR THIS CLIP. Thank you, kind sir. You really made my day for uploading this :D

  • I love that scene so much!!

  • I don't know...it didn't look like dali, it looked like brody playing dali. the illusion wasn't that strong

  • Just way too funny :) the way he says rhino is just hilarious :)

  • Brody actually resembles Dali--physically--so well that at this moment I thought they were related. Wonderful casting! Great Actor!

  • He really got Dali's eye expression.

  • Adrien Brody is american, and he speaks here french with a spanish accent => respect !!

  • @Shatima94 What's he saying?

  • Absolutely effing epic that this scene, about rhinos, was done with the two most famous big-nosed contemporary actors of our day

  • at 1:03 his eyes open really wide and he basically is Dali.

  • And Dalí's obsession with the rhinos ended up with a movie in the mid fifties, and a sculpture of a rhino in lace which is displayed presently in Málaga, (Andalucía), Spain. Wow!

  • Its freaky how much the dude looks like Man Ray. they MUST be related.

  • His spanish accent is perfect!!! Luis, oye!!! ^^

  • The way he says, rhinoceroses.... It's beautiful.

  • Press 9 !

  • He's hot as Dali...nuff said

  • I keep pressing 8. Oh, well...

  • Im in love with this movie...

  • The. Best. Cameo. Ever.

  • "PENDARE!" best line in the film..

  • The way the actor playing Man Ray says, "Exactly correct, you inhabit two worlds. So far, I see nothing strange.", sounds odd. Is this an allusion to a detail about Man Ray that I am unware or was it just a poorly read line?

  • Adrien Brody is simply great. He never let me down. Amazing actor!

  • Adrien Brody is one of the best actors of this time and I feel like he's not getting enough recognition even after his Oscar win.

  • great scene!

  • Saw this film a few months ago. I went back to see it a week later just to see this scene. Adrien Brody is brilliant.!!!

  • i wish it were an oscar for cameos...because adrien brody deserves it!

  • I see a Rhenocéros!

  • Ah Dalí! What a genious! Paris was incredible in the 1920s

  • "Love the language...French...The waiters, no..."

that pretty much sums up my experiance.

  • Thank you! I loved Adrien Brody in this role

  • Man Ray: A man in love with a woman from a different era. I see a photograph!

Luis Buñuel: I see a film!

    Gil: I see insurmountable problem!

    Salvador Dalí: I see rhinoceros!

  • I love this movie!

  • adrien brody did a fantastic job portraying dali.

  • Midnight in Paris has to be the best movie of 2011.

What a stellar cast, all directed by Mr. Allen in the city of lights and romance, Paris.

    A splendid and remarkable combination!

  • adrien brody is so amazing as Salvador Dali, I wouldn't mind if he had more time on the screen

  • lol adrien's face at 1:04

  • The language, the French...The waiters, no :D

  • brody was great

  • I think the best two characters of the past were those of Hemingway and Dali. Gertrude Stein wasnt bad too. But for the unorthodox it was Adrien Brody, memorable !

  • I see... a rhinoceros

  • <3

  • @snomansez ... I officially don't like you.

  • I was just getting ready to put this exact same scene up myself!

    Great minds think alike!

    !!!!!!! R-h-i-n-o-c-e-r-o-s !!!!!!!!

  • To me this is this best part of all. "I see a photo!", "I see a film! " We also see Hemingway and we see Woody Allen. We truly see Adrien Brody as a genius actor.

  • the best scene in the movie!! :D

  • The guy playing Luis Buñuel is great!

    Buñuel made the movie!

  • I wish more attention was paid to my boy Bunuel :P

  • Thanx for posting this video!!:)

  • I have a mustache on my penis

  • He is one of the greatest living actors !!!!!!!!

  • "I see...a rhinoceros.." lmao! God I love Adrien.

  • love it!

  • rhinocerosses!

    thanx for sharing borzcorp!

i just wish the guy who's playing Dali' was rockin' a true Dali' moustache!

  • @godofthenew1 He wasn't sporting the stache at the time yet, this 20's

  • "exactly correct" ahah!

  • need to stop pressing repeat

  • So fucking hilarious. They casted this movie beautifully!

  • Just finished the film, if it had not been Adrien Brody I doubt it would have been as good.

  • best part in the film. (good luck peanut)

  • I had a squee when Man Ray came into the scene

  • LOVE... the language, the french... the waiter, no.

  • You can't talk to Surrealists man, they just don't understand reality. :)

  • yeah ..but you are surreal

  • LOVE THIS FILM, MARION IS GORGEOUS, ADRIEN IS AN AMAZING ACTOR, OWEN IS SO FUNNY IN THIS SCENE. . . MADE MY DAY

  • "I see a photograph." "I see a film." "I see an insurmountable problem.""I see a rhinoceros." ...

Allright, that's genius... who can explain "rhinoceros" in this context... anyone ?

  • @rockstarrist In general, It was a recurring concept in Dali's paintings, which Allen here uses comically. In this movie there are many little details. They indicate Allen's deep knowledge in the history European Arts.

" According to Dalí, the rhinoceros horn signifies divine geometry because it grows in a logarithmic spiral. He also linked the rhinoceros to themes of chastity and to the Virgin Mary."

  • Best scene ever

  • Man Ray has a wonderful voice especially when he said photograph

  • I LOVE this scene!

  • LMAO! <3

  • This really made the film.

  • Luis Oye! Its a joke. Luis Buñuel was a remembered deaf

  • Luis Oye!
