  • Hope our intrepid young singer did go on to better things, esp being recommended by the good choirmaster Ratzinger.

  • the boy has a great voice

  • Comment removed

  • @karajan1982

I'd like to think Monsignor Ratzinger knew that and was careful how to apply such levels.

  • And another thing, This fucking bishop Müller, One day someone is going to be his judge, Mark my words, if the church doesnt pay for its crimes that go back half a century nearly someone will nail them to the cross, I am a believer in an eye for an eye, The church is doing nothing to atone for their misdeeds, absolutely nothing, oh wait they do..., they mock their victims, But we know where they reside believe me

  • wrong , no one is treating this seriously at all, these criminals look so frail, you see them walking in the streets, but they have the mind of Demjanjuk, You put them into the same circumstances as him, they d be exactly the same, If i had a kid i d tell him: stay away from those ppl, And if any of them ever touches you i ll kill them, Cause its all that those cockroaches deserve,

  • Alta der Titel heisst, Fick dich ins Knie,

  • der alte schwanzlutscher. den scheissnazi, der gehört unter die Erde

  • Damn all the idiotic comments here! Yes Mons. Ratzinger slapped students back in the 60's, 70's but in the 80's he admits that he was glad that that punishment was removed although e used it occasionally, many kids of the 60's were hit by teachers it was common punishment, so stop ringing at Mons. Georg's neck just because he is a priest or the Pope's brother.

  • @priest008 did this stupid cunt need a law to stop him from slapping anyone?

he is reported of even throwing chairs into the choir, You stupid retard

  • @rellama1 STILL...... is he the only one?? We had a choir teacher in school who used to thrown hot coffee at us, we had a math teacher who would thrown the iron meter ruler at us, and our Liberian would smash our fingers with a book if we were speaking, I can't see how a slap in the face in 1960 and 1970 is seen as wrong. he never beat any one to the ground but gave a slap.

  • @priest008 do you have any idea what the system was like? Severe beatings. In front of everyone, Also those nazi teachers, I tell you, germans are still as fascist as they come, Dont kid yourself

  • @PandaMishima

My goodness, am I really that bad?

  • Vatican is a Satan-worshipper pretending to serve GOD.

Time to be destroyed by GOD..... I pray.

  • @AzerChristians spinner!!;-)

  • They didnt show the part where the kid is forced onto his knees to pleasure him...

  • @trkdigital

Oh they did, you mean to say you don't get the Exclusive Subscription? haw haw haw

  • He admitted beatings to their students. He admitted that abuse. This kind of people have no limits because they believe that redemption would give forgiveness upon him. They are hypocrites. And I'm not talking about the believers, whose are obviously used by this kind of destructive and abusive people. If you don't want to see the truth, that's your problem.

  • @LFTArg I'm sorry, but you appear to know absolutely nothing about German social norms at the time. He didn't "beat" students, he slapped them or hit them on the head, which was totally socially acceptable. Germans have always had rigorous disciplinary norms, but of course times have changed. Georg Ratzinger is no different from the tens of thousands of other teachers who employed similar tactics.

  • Ok, so applying your same criteria I can justify Nazi Crimes against humanity "because it was tolerated at that time". Sorry but your argument is a logical fallacy. The fact that it was accepted at that time doesn't mean that is good.

  • @randianpole

what?! That's still terrible. He slapped them for missing notes? :O

  • @cabbalistic

I read that Mons. Ratzinger regrets it now.

He said that back then it was a common punishment for misbehavior; it was less vicious than just quick and corrective.

    Still, it's a shame.

  • @LFTArg LIAR he didn't beat them! there is a difference between a beating and a slap in the face! In the 60's every teacher slapped their students! Especially musicians! Have you lived through the 60's ???? Every one sees this as a wow because he is a preist? How unfair, why don't you string out every single teacher then? He did say that the was glad when in the 80's this punishment was abolished.

  • @priest008 come and see me and i show you how some nuns can beat kids,

these cockroaches have no right to beat anyone, faggot,

  • @rellama1 Where should i come? And where is this happening? If it is so report it to your diocesan bishop. There are treating these things very seriously now.

  • @priest008 it was reported by the local press (Regensburg) that some former choir boys told this, And the church downplays all incidents, And have now even gotten their lawyers to threaten the press, its serious but the judiciary show little or no interest at all, And slaps into the face were not uncommon,

  • fuckin bastard... i hope those guys now will kick your ass

  • Beautiful voice

  • @Gabry23ful Looks like the Catholic church might have been sexually molesting those little boys for many decades.

  • Why so some people think the boy is "scared" or "terrified".

    He's just shy and nervous.

Someone who is scared would not sing very well.

Look at 0:40 he even seems to smile a bit because he knows the song even though he cannot say it.

  • @patagiarius

Well, stage fright can be pretty crippling; heard that speaking in public is one of the biggest fears. And when you're a kid, such things can be even worse.

The good choirmaster did seem to put the boy at ease.

  • @patagiarius well people are saying he is scared to try and imply that he was being molested by Mons. Georg Ratzinger, this is what the internet has done, it has given the chance to scum bags to disrespect the Holy Father, in this case by mocking his brother and implying that he was molesting the child hence he is scared. Mons. Ratzinger did indeed slap students but that was common practice in the 60's he later rejoiced when it was stopped in the 80's.

  • @priest008

Amen to that! the good Mons. Ratzinger simply wanted his students to sing well. why do we stupid Americans have to amend extra meanings to everything?

pray for me to come to the True Faith

  • @PandaMishima Deffinately, I will keep you in my prayers. If I may suggest a few things that would help you, read the lives of the saints, a very good book that comes to mind is called "The Glories of Mary" written by St.Alphonsus, who was one of the greatest theologians the Church will ever know.

  • @PandaMishima its incredible how ppl downplay the brutality of such priests, its only cause you never got any, So its easy to say oh well, a slap or 2. Lives have been destroyed. I know someone who was in the care of the church who is now an 80% invalid, A psychological wreck, You want me to do to you what those fucking priests did to the kids? You d be humiliated after 3 minutes i guarantee, Those priests are dogs believe me,

  • @rellama1

(my file name got screwed up, it's still me) I'm already humiliated, but then, my Mother has already made good and sure of that. I bow to your superior authority, what else is a stupid Protestant supposed to do?

Problem, how to quell other desires?

  • Aww That Kid Looks Terrified

  • @IrishNProud93 Of course he's terrified, if he doesnt sing right his ass will be beat.

  • @MareBellator

    Well. really!

  • @IrishNProud93 Well he went for an interview to be accepted amongst one of Germany's best choirs, I would be terrified too. Any way nothing to be terrified of because by what I understood Mons.Ratzinger saying the Boy sings well and has been accepted.

  • @priest008 I know, I was just saying he looked terrified but it turned out he sang really well, I like Mons.Ratzinger actually (not that I know him personally but you know what I mean) from what Iv'e seen he seems a very nice man :]

  • His brother is my favorite Popes.

  • Hello. would someone kind translate in englich what say master Ratzinger?

    Thanks.

  • Hallo Toelzer Fans,

  • @Toelzerfanclever I am from Malta, I really wish to know what song this is, in malta we have a hymn which is similar, I will try play it and upload it for you and tell me if it's it please. But I don't know this song.

  • @priest008 The title is "Lobe (lobet) den Herren" (praise God)....:)

Ask Google and you will find lyrics and so on at lieder-archiv.de, sorry in German language only...:(.

  • The kid is an amazing singer...but he is scared to death.

  • he is not scared, he is full of concentration to the music.

  • I must correct myself after getting aware that Ratzinger slapped the boys in their face if they missed a note in singing. May be the boy was secretely praying that the camera man did not leave the room during the rehearsal.

  • @1800nunyabiz bro, i hope you're not suggesting pedophilia. honestly, those jokes are turning into hate speech.

  • @kubrox91 What are you talking about? I just said the boy looks scared....thats pretty common for kids who are auditioning.

  • @1800nunyabiz nothing, just thought you were alluding to the scandal and attractions.

  • @1800nunyabiz forgive me.

  • @1800nunyabiz Heut gehts aber ned mehr so ab

  • @dunkelfallos What?

  • Great :D from 0:39 He's very good!

  • That may be true for you, but is it the case for all such?

  • Ah, but I was raised Unitarian and I went to a Baptist church.

  • The poor kid looks scared to DEATH

  • Well, he's in the presence of not just a beloved teacher, but the Pope's own brother :)

  • If I am brainwashed then let me never wake up.

  • georg ratzinger is the brother of the Pope and the former chapel master of the regensburg cathedral

  • How clever of Herr Ratzinger to work into the song note by note!

  • I love it - the kid discovers he knows the tune already, but doesn't know the title.

  • Dieses Lied wird in Deutschland regelmäßig

von den Kirchengemeinden bei Gottesdiensten gesungen...:)

That song periodically in Germany the church congregations are singing in the liturgies...:)

  • Not only in Germany, auch in die Niederlände

  • Do you know where the melody is from?

  • Joachim Neander (1650-1680) in 1679. The tune itself is older, and appears in slightly different forms. Sometimes the original melody comes from the culture and its true origin is obscured in history. JS Bach is often given credit for this tune.

  • among the many titles it goes by is: "Praise to the Lord (the Almighty, the King of Creation)". There are many other titles for that melody, though...

  • Very nice :)

  • Great moment. Thank you.

  • Thanks
