  • I did the bc in July of 2011 and I use this on my hair everytime I wash it and my hair comes out shiny and bouncy and bee-utiful...Everyone always ask me what I put in my hair and I tell them its a "concoction" I found on youtube...You should really bottle this and start selling it because I live and swear by this formula thanks so much you saved my natural hair

  • Love the Video, but you didn't tell us how much of the leave-in conditioner to add to the mixture.

  • I love your videos continue doing your thing. Can you please make a video on how you do your mixture for this video?

  • im soo thankful that you have made this video. im only 14 and i am going natural. i only have 4 inches of new growth and my hair is going extremely dry... i cant wait to try this mixture. i again thank you for this video.

  • luv the video, can't wait to try the mixture. Where do you get the aloe vera gelly and the coconut oil from?

  • I don't know what you are saying. I'm sure you may give good info, bone up on those skills.

  • hello, I love your videos i just recently subscribed! I was wondering if you could show us how you mix these products. i went and got most of the products you mentioned and mixed it all together, but im still not getting it to mix properly. All the products float to the top of the bottle and i end up spraying mostly water into my hair, i then tried to use less water and the mix kinda turned creamy so it became hard to spray...so im clearly doing something wrong. Any ideas????

  • you are hilarious. I love your videos. . . You keep it real and no um um um! I love it .

  • oh man, i used to shave my widow's peak off in high school too. lmao

  • Hello Tiffany! My aunt is uses your mix and her hair is soooo soft. I'm like what are you using, and she said I got this recipe from this girl on youtube. Her name is Tiffany and she's from new york. Girl, i was searchin' high and low, saying I just gotta find the video. Sho' nuf found you! lol Anyways, I can't wait to try it in my hair. My hair doesn't respond to Giovanni's smooth as silk deep conditioner and other leave in mixes, so I'm praying that this one works! Be blessed!

  • @Naptrulyme Thanks for the search and for watching! Tomorrow I'm actually going to load my treatment for 2011. It's so rewarding and my hair has never been so strong and soft at the same time. It's not much of a difference though from this one. Thank you for the love and God bless you!

  • If you put your hair in a bun, what products do you use?

  • @seannaj26 Shea Butter works great heat it up for 40 secs, than it turns to a butter oil, it smooths on very well.

  • I can't find the conditioner you use at Whole Foods. Do they sell it anywhere else?

  • @seannaj26 Not sure sorry.

  • I really enjoy ur video and I dont fall asleep on it lol. Like d other videos

  • i cant wait to take my micros out. I miss my curls dearly!

  • i'm a fan because you're a 'hummingbird' like me... thanks so much for the video. you tickled me to death! be blessed!

  • Hey! loved the video girl! I have a couple quick questions: 1.) How much of the leave in conditioner do you add to the mixture? 2.) Where do you get the Miss Jessie's cream from? 3.) Can i find all of the products at Walmart? I cant stand going from store to store searching for stuff! Lol. i guess I'm a little lazy! Thanks in advance! *Subscribing*

  • Thx for the tips for the moisture at night! I was in much need of this regimen. I will let you know how it works for me. God Bless sista!

  • i have a widow's peak! i have NEVER had a problem with it

  • Tifflawrain - you seem really knowledgeable on natural hair. I would love to try out the products you use but how would I use them on pressed hair? For work, it's easier to have my hair pressed (that way I don't have to deal with talks about my hair being in regulations; Im in the military btw). Hopefully you can help. Great video though. You had me cracking up in the beginning.

  • lol...That was hilarious in the beginning about the short attention span people

  • you were so funny u got me cracking up !

What brand is the virgin oil in the tube?

What brand is the vitamin E oil?

  • video would've been better if you showed your hair

  • Tiffany, how much of the mixture do I apply? Do I saturate it? Also, my hair is only about two to three inches long right now so I can't really section into only 4 area twists, any suggestions?

  • would that stuff work on short african male hair. because my hair breaks out like crazy when i pick my hair out with a pick. growing a bush for the second time. the first time i got it relaxed years ago. now im trying to do it right. some advice please.

oh and your video is cool and your very preety :)

  • I have a problem with drying hair, and it won't grow out.. What do I need to do to get it to grow and stop being so dry? Please answer me.

  • you are so pretty! where did you buy the african shea butter from? :)

  • lol, I used to pray for a widow's peak when I was a little girl. Now I'm engaged and my fiance has one, I fuss at him all the time about shaving his off. I love your video, I'm transitioning and I have been looking for something good to use daily, thanks for this!

  • are you going to make a video on how u mix it and put it in ur hair.?.. i would really appreciate it if u did :)

    thank you

  • yes girl keep that widows peak...my friend just told me to shave that off...I said hell no, thats my trademake....I will never ever shave it off

  • Have you ( or anyone) tried Giovanni leave in conditioner ( what I use)? How do they compare?

  • Good video! Will try this!

@og2me umm everything she said is natural is actually natural! the shea butter, coconut oil, vitamin e oil, olive oiletc... and what does cutting off her widows peak and growing it back have to do with natural??? whats not natural about that? maybe you should research before you say something stupid.

  • I like the fact that you have eaton up what some1 has done research and gave you on a teaspoon as food besides she looks good . Lol...have you just done your homework or done the real study? How bout agreeing and yes she look good! NO DISRESPACT...BUT MY DEFN OF A NATUNAL IS A BLACK WOMEN!

  • RusticBeauty is actually Nigerian. She has beautiful healthy hair. I don't think the texture has anything to do with it. Keep the hair clean and moisturized, free of heat and chemicals and it will grow!

  • just so u kno, nigerian hair is not tht tough unless u take care of it. my hair happens to be very soft and im nigerian.

  • Thats soo funny I use to shave my widows peak too!!!!LOL

  • u look like penny from goodtimes.. hay janet jackson. :)

  • You lost me at about 20 seconds in....

  • I'm 4 months in so this was very helpful! Girl, you are a mess!!! Keep posting.

  • Yea...i've always heard that Widow's Peak's were a sign on beauty..

  • i concocted my own moisturizing mix I LOVE IT!!! i completely understand that my hair probably does not like the same things your does but i never really thought abt mixing it all together lolz so thx for the tip!!!

  • what was the name of that conditioner! i couldn't catch it!

  • They usually have it at the black beauty supply stores.

  • Where do they sell the Miss Jessie's Curly Buttercreme?

  • @lnesbitt21 miss jessie has a website just type in miss jessie curly buttercreme into google

  • You can get shea butter from like and african store that sales like incents or clothing they usually carry products like shea butter

  • I can't understand you. :(

  • love da bonnet!!! mine stay on alll night no matter WHAT I DOO..lol

  • Try a beauty supply store for Blacks. Or go to Mountain Rose Herb, or Bars and Butters, online.

Bars and Butters have a trio pack of shea, coccoa, and mango for 19.99.

  • It's Butters and Bars. online

  • How much of the leave in conditioner do I add to this concoction?

  • girl where can i get me some shea butter...

i been trying to find some....where do you get yours ...I live in california...what u suggest

  • btw where did you get the jojoba conditioner from?

It seems like all the African Supply Beauty Stores don't carry products that help the hair....

  • How would I start with transitioning?! I've been perming my hair since I was 7 or 8 years old. [Im 15]..I really want my hair to be long, thick, and healthy!

  • stop perming, dont get any more relaxers and grow out your perm

  • @AtlantaAngel84 Me&my sis are both doing it together, our "protective style" is gonna be single braids...Im doing it for a whole yr. When should I cut off the relaxed parts? Also I found this video so informative about keeping moisture in your hair, I think Im going to use either olive oil or vitamin e oil as a leave in conditioner, and african shea butter as a moitruzier...but what should I use to actually wash my hair? & Do you blow dry your hair or let it air dry?

    Sorry for all the questions!!

  • well i just cut off my relaxed ends after about almost 8 mos of transitioning. i could not take the two textures anymore. you cut it off when you are ready its really a personal choice. i started using organic products and i am experimenting, i am a product junkie, lol. you have giovanni, aubrey organics, all sorts of things. doing my transition, i do flexi rod sets which was really pretty until i had too much new growth. hit me with a message in my box since i am running out of characters.

  • Stop perming you hair like now lol.

Wear braids or a weave. Anything that dosnt involve heat. While doing that start to really really take care of the new growth that you start to get.

Also start trying to get your scalp healthy because perm like burns you scalp and mkes i unhealthy.

  • I just detangled my hair. The mixture has solidified, probably because I omitted the leave-in conditioner.

There was less hair that came out! :-) I have type 3C on the outer perimeter on my hair. At the very top it is definitely 4A. So, I will make another mixture and put in the leave in conditioner.

I am planning to debut my natural hair this Thanksgiving.

Without the leave-in conditioner the misture works well as a skin and cuticle treatment.

  • cool great video I'm so glad I went natural it's like a whole community on youtube :)

  • I love that chrisette michelle song in the background lol and thanks for the tips and info. oh yeah, youre really funny LOL.

  • can you do a tutorial of this please!!!!!!!!

  • I just tried the mixture, without the leave in conditioner, right after I washed and conditioned my hair.

Naturally by the time I made the mixture my ends were quite dry. So, I lightly sprintzed my ends with waters and the mixture worked quite well on my moist ends.

I have ten braids in my hair and I can't wait to see how it looks tomorrow.

  • So are you doing this process on wet hair or dry hair? Do did does not matter?

  • If I knew you loved Miss Jessie hair creams I would have save them for you. Sorry I threw them away. LOL

  • thats right girl, rock the widow!!lol

  • yes tiffany you did go fast but I wrote it all down. I've only been natural for 2mos. my hair dry and I also use kinky curling custard. So Im going to take your advice at see what happens.

  • Sorry if you have any other questions just let me know, take care

  • Thanks alot for your reply tifany, i got my the spray bottle now the same one :).

    Stay blessed.

  • Thank you for being so kind. Glad you got it

  • where can you buy the miss jessie butter cream?

  • I used to hate being tall in highschool b/c I was different than everyone (boys and girls! lol) But now I love it! I'm glad you've embraced your willow's peak --it is beautiful on you and it fits your (beautiful) personality! ~ Nice vid and Best wishes from one natural to another! ^_^

  • Hi, you're a funny lady. have you done a tutorial on this mixture? portions etc. my hair is part relaxed / part natural, and i've decided to go natural now. thanx

  • Thanks for watching, and no I haven't done one yet. But, I will, sorry for the late reply. When you do go natural you will not regret it! God bless!

  • ure listening to chrisette michelle lol

  • I just want to say thank u....i have been debating on how long to transistion before my BC and i decided that it was nothing worth waiting for.....so i did my BC last night and and so ready to learn more from u ...thanks and may God keep u....and bless you for being the beautiful encouraging woman that u r...

  • Hello! CONGRATS ON YOUR BIG CHOP!!!!! Sorry for the late message! I'm so happy to hear that your all natural. It is really a process, but when you get into it and learn what your hair likes and doesn't it becomes really easy! If you want to know anything else just let me know, God bless, and thanks a mil for your kind words and for watching!

  • thank you for the video i am really thinking of going natural

  • you are so funny!!and I know it's good to laugh =)) great video!!

  • us widows must stick togehter!

  • True true lol!

  • great video! do u ever find that dampening your hair every night with the mixture makes your hair a little hard/dry? i've been encountering that problem lately...thx

  • Thank you! No I have never had that problem, but everyone's hair is different. So, it may be something in the mix that your hair doesn't like. Find out what it is, and don't use it. My hair is never hard, or dry. Also, don't use to much, if your hair doesn't need it everyday than use every other day. Hope this helps!

  • Girl I watched your video last night & I went to Whole foods in STL, &I bought everything you said, but I forgot the olive oil, my main question is, did you have to melt the shea butter first? My hair is crazy it is about a 4a-b all over, then the back is a 1c, I just learned that lingo last night :)from watching almost every natural hair video I could find. I thought your mix looked good, but I bought some Castile soap for shampoo

(credit : glamzini), I like creme of natures conditioner

  • Congrats on everything! Yeah I melt my shea butter only for a few secs though, about 15-25. I love the soap for a shampoo, and I never used creme of nature. Use what works for you! What I love about the mix is the shea and the olive oil. You should go pick the oil up. Best to luck to you, and if you have any other questions let me know!

  • hey your guys am get my hair natural hair and cut off novermber

  • Don't forget to post a vid, can't wait to see! God bless

  • Haha! Widows Peak! I used to shave mine off when I was in school too!

    Too funny.

  • lol, the things we do!

  • oh and great vidd!

    im definitely subscribing

  • Does Vitamin E oil really make your hair grow?

because i have really short hair [ like almost half of my neck length ]

and it will not grow. i drink water everyday and it doesnt grow. and my hair is really thin and its non-full looking and when i comb it out everyday i lose alot of hair

and i just dont know what to do.

  • Vitamin E, is known to make your hair grow but, if you don't take care of it, then it will grow but break off too. So, you won't see the growth. Sorry to hear that your hair is breaking. Do you perm it? If so this is something you should stop!

  • oh!

i guess i should stop perminq it then

but im going to try the vitamin E oil and see if it grows

    Thank you so much!!

  • No problem, and give it time. If you perm your hair, and it won't grow, the perm is breaking off your hair because it is eating off your hair! That's why I had to cut all mine off and start all over natural, with no perm. And, see my hair is growing back now. Good luck.

  • You just gained a subscriber! I just asked Slynik about shea butter and say your comment on her page. Came through to see what your vids were about & it answered my question of the day! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • Wow, thanks for watching glad I could help!

  • Hey! Great videos. Do you know which shea butter is better for your skin? 100% Natural, raw or unrefined? Thankyou

  • hey ! what's the first song that was playing ?

  • Hello! It's called like a dream by Chrissette Michelle "I AM" CD

  • hi i really love you video!thanks for taking out time to do this stuff!i want to hve natural hair and im just doing my research to consider it but i have to say that ive had really long hair all my life so its scary for me because i dont know what to expect!

thanks anyways!keep doing what your doing!

  • Thank you for watching and I hope it goes well for you. Remember when you do your big chop your hair won't be short for long it grows back and fast, you just have to be patient. And, it will grow back thicker, stronger, and healthier! Your hair, and your self esteem will bloom! Hope you do it, and good luck!

  • thanks alot!i'll definately sticking to this!

  • Hi! LOLz im kinda new to this, lol, I've been going naatural since Februrary of last year, and two days ago I just got the last bit of relaxer chopped off of my hair, so, I need help deciding what moisturizers work for my hair- it's a mixture of 4B and 4C. What hair type are you? I'd love to know, because I've been considering Curly buttercreme and if it works on your hair I hope it works on mine as well. God Bless! *chillz* and congratz 4 goin natural!!!

  • Hello! Congrats on going completely natural! I'm so proud of you, it's a big deal! Sorry for the delay, I'm a 4a in the front and 4b on most of my hair! You should try the mix I put together in my mixture vid. I love the Curly buttercreme, at first I didn't know if it would work on my hair but it's great. Worth the money! Try it and let me know what you think. Remember that all natural hair is different so try to find what your hair likes with the oils. Thanks for watching and God bless you too!

  • Question...I have watched a number of your videos, and I apprieciate the info you provide. I was noting the items you used for the mix and you did not mention the amount of leave condition you use. Also, would you saythe same amt of Vit E as olive oil (4 tablespoons) ?? Thanks

  • Thank you for watching! I don't have a set number. I drop between 6-8 drops of conditioner. And, my hair loves olive oil, sorry I didn't mention it, but I use 5. Thank you for all of your support

  • I'm so happy that you want to go natural it's a great feeling. Honestly if your hair is already short than why not!? I know that when you do it you will feel wonderful about yourself! I'm serious, your self esteem will be so much better than what it is today.Yes and everything that is in my mix is up there.

  • I don"t know if someone already asked you this but, why do you use the silk bonnet over a silk scarf?

  • Hello, no I just wear a bonnet, if I have a style I don't want to mess up than I might do both. Thanks for watching.

  • That's my gul chisette in the back ground, BAD Chick, My 100% coconut oil doesnt have a smell, where do u get yours from.

  • Hello! I get my coconut oil from whole food, that's weird because, mine always smells like coconut. Check on that. lol, but yeah that girl can blow! lol

  • dag, you talk so fast lol! love the humor though and gotta try that concoction! I never really twist my hair at night but I'm gonna start doing that...great video! subscribing!

  • Thanks so much! lol

  • Thank you!

  • thanks, the vid was great. i've already subbed. keep the vids coming. do you retwist every night using that method?

  • Thank you very much! Yes I use to twist my hair every night. If you don't want to you can use the flex rods I just started that and I love them!!! I think I'll just use these instead. I just use eight small long ones and that's it, it takes five mins!! And they are only $2.00 a pack with six a pack. I bought 2 packs! I love the results!

  • That is ma fav...song...she is so talented

  • Funny video. Girl you ought to be on tv with that mouth! I couldn't stop laughing. Thanks for the info.

  • love the Chrissette Michelle "I AM" CD in the back. Love the informative video too

  • When you said you two strand twist each section of your hair do you mean you end up having four big two strand twist in you hair or do you put a lot of two strand twist throughout your hair?

  • Hello sis, if your hair is long enough then you can just do four twists but, it will take longer to dry. I do 8-12, depending on how sleepy I am lol.

  • 9:32 making it sort???????? lol but nice tips

  • Good Video! Take Care!

  • Thanks you too!

  • coconut oil and shea butter are the bomb.

i think whether you're natural or not, you should wear a satin bonnet. when relaxed, i put on the bonnet and tied a scarf on top. it help reduce the friction around my edges while i tossed and turned during the night. now, to retain moisture, i wear a plastic cap [place a sheet of facial tissue under cap to prevent the line across forehead], bonnet and still tie the scarf on top.

  • Wow, you wear a lot on your head to sleep, lol! mostly I just wear the bonnet, because I let my hair air dry, and if I wear to much it will still be wet in the morning.

  • i gotta be sure girl! *L* yeah, i understand that. it's really a style dictated technique. like last night, i twisted air dried hair, so i didn't wear the cap. for the past 2 months, i've been wearing primarily wash n' go's or puffs, so the cap is on every night for those.

  • Subbing right now i love your personality. and the info is on point. thank you so much.

  • Thanks, I'm glad you like it, hope it helps. Stay beautiful!

  • Thanks...i'll definitely use your tips. I have frizzy wavy hair and could use some conditioning...a lot of conditioning...lol. By the way, did u do a demo for your hair?...please lemme know

  • Not yet, but it's coming soon! Thanks for watching!

  • I have oily skin and acne prone skin...I have been using shea butter on my face at night, but it leaves it oily looking. Does the shea butter do that to you?

  • Everytime I use the shea butter, it goes on oily but after about 10mins. it absorbs into my skin with no problem. Maybe if you use less that will help, no I never had that problem. Check out my exfoliate your skin vid, that should help your acne prone skin.

  • Thanks for sharing. Biotin broke me out, too :-( Love your vids!

  • Thanks! Forget that dag on biotin!

  • I was also told that I shouldn't have a fro cause of my large forehead. haha What's your outlook on that. Im so lost!

  • Don't let those haters discourage you, look at Tyra Banks! Love what God gave you, your head will never be to big for a fro. Do it and I'll bet you'll love it!

  • Hey I let my perm grow out with the use of braids and I have had braids forever because I play sports and that is that easiest option. Now I want something different and my hair is SOO dry and nappy and the ends are puffy. I bought something called Afrogee shampoo and I am going to use that to help the dryness but I know i need more. If I use your conditioner and wrap it in the cap will that be enough? Should I also grease my scalp with super gro?

  • Hey Brae26, I play a sport too. What are you doing now with your hair/sports?

  • Hello! I think that if you grease your scalp that's great, but you have to remember that your ends are what you really have to worry about, don't just focus on your scalp your HAIR needs moisture that's why I use this method now. When playing sports never keep your hair covered, it needs air! Use any leave IN cond. and co wash, add hair oil like coconut oil after you play, ( AIR DRY)and you will see a difference.

  • WIDOWZ PEAKZ WAT IT DO... LOL>> power to uz!..

  • Hey what it do! lol

  • How do you feel Buttercream does with frizz? Does it control that for you?

  • The curly buttercreme is very well with frizz! Better than the KCCC, I can't believe how well it works with frizz, it takes it away completely. I'm hooked, I will be their spokes person for awhile, I LOVE IT! Won't try anything else because I don't need to, ps its easier than using the KCCC. Just try it you'll be happy you did

  • Thanks for the shea butter tip on your face, I need to tr that! I've been thinking about doing a night regimen so i'm gonna definately try this!!! Keep the videos coming, i'm gonna sub ya!
