  • hi,

this looks a bit like the seizures my daughter had and she was diagnosed with West syndrome and then she was treated for it.

she no longer has infantile spasmes but stil is epileptic.

there are some video`s of my daughter on my channel... she had many different kind of seizures.

    good luck!

  • Ok I thought this was supposed to be a seizure video? Where was the seizure?

  • @AngieT1987 if you would like to know not all seizures are like the ones you see in movies (which are called from my knowledge grand mal seizures).

The seizure in the video is called a partial seizure. She has an absence in thought and jerks her body a bit. Theres all different kinds of partial seizures.

You should look it up. =)

  • jeez people have some sympathy its not her fault shes like this cant we all just try and make her life non miserable by at least not making fun of her

  • lollololol

  • why is every single one of these comments replies? that sucks ass so much

  • Dude I know how she feals i my self have epelepsy I have to drink 500ml of depekote pills like 4 a day when I get them I feal so weak man it sucks and I never remember nothing I got one at work and they fired me that sucks but now I work some where eals

  • I have these and im 12 but they last 10-15 sec if u got a seizure for more than 5 min call an ambulance

  • @nezzi69 People who are Epileptic are not crazy and they are not a danger to other's.

  • @LLOYD19851012 They look fucked up to me. I have some "act right" in my trunk for such situations.

  • @nezzi69 You're a sick, stupid, ignorant, mother fucker. You have no clue what a seizure is or you wouldn't make fun of the illness. Go to school and educate yourself you ignorant fuck.

  • @ashleyjohnson590 I know exactly what seizure is, that's why it's funny stupid bitch. For example, if you had a seizure around me I'd laugh and point. Then I'd kick you to try to get you normal. If that didn't work I'd just practice my pissing aim.

  • @nezzi69 You are too sick to help. For the good of all mankind, end your life pronto!!

  • @LLOYD19851012 Very often people confuse it with schizophrenia.

  • @nezzi69 I've never read such ignorant remarks before. I suppose you think people should put a spoon in the epileptic's mouth as well? By reading your post I can tell that you will be in a world of legal hurt should you come across a person having a seizure.

  • @silvermist1216 Not so much. I would just laugh and point. For someone who has a well known pedofile plastered all over their Youtube page, I just hope no child has a seizure around you.

  • @nezzi69 They're not dangerous to others, and they're definitely not crazy. They can't help what happens to them, so violence wouldn't help at all. It's not something to laugh at.

  • my brother used to make fun of me before they discovered it. It has almost taken my life i was driving when i had a big seizure the medication was half working so i remember bits of the accident. Im glad i didnt kill or hurt anyone else. It has turned my world upside down now work dont understand in the morning why im late if i have a big seizure they dont understand epilepsy & they wont put me on the late shift. I always end up covered in blood mainly on my head because i live alone in london

  • @Trackydd I'm so sorry to hear that. My dad had one of his first seizure while driving with me and my younger sister in the car. Luckily he hit something that stopped us before we hit someone else. You really should have someone to be with you..he's went into one walking down the stairs even..it's scarey stuff. Please take care of yourself <3

  • oh i feel for her i was diognosed with the same thing in 2004 i was about 19 at the time i had my first big seizure i was under a lot of stress and really tired that day they rushed me to hospital and discovered it. But i noticed all those minni seizures when i was at school going through puberty because no one in my family as epilepsy. It was worse i used to have them in the shower a glass door shower so i used to bang around a lot and i thought i would grow out of it.

  • poor girl....

  • i take kepra that works 4 me i cant go near flashing lights and if some 1 is having a seizure put their head on the right or the left so she or he dose not choke on his or her toung

  • Good lord these look exactly like my post-wakeup seizures, or occasionally the seizures I have if I'm really tired. I also have a pretty good amount of absence seizures. I'm unmedicated though as the doctors said that I'm not a good candidate for a lot of the medications and I'm not a candidate at all for surgery, I take some melatonin at night and it's helped make the wakeup ones a bit less intense if nothing else.

  • i wanna hug her and if my hugs could cure any one i would hug everything :)

  • @mexicankidhero Please hug me. :I Epilepsy sucks.

  • @XProfesserXPePeX i'll talk to u later...jeez

  • @XProfesserXPePeX Id hit it LMAO You gotta listen real real careful....

  • At 0:29 did he say ''You fucked well.'' JUST ASKIN???

  • @XProfesserXPePeX did u Slept well.....

  • Nothing some mary jane can't fix...

  • Hi chris Hansen, why don't you take a seat over there.

  • too fat to have epilepsy

  • I take, I think it's Tegratol, and Pregabalin. (spelling?)

  • Wow. These are so different to all the types of seizures that I have.

  • She's hot.

  • I used to have siezures too, but then I got a Schriebmann Port. I hope you get what I mean...

  • Two words. MEDICAL CANNABIS. Look it up.

  • they used to think of this as demonic possession.

glad how much science has progress.

  • why does she keep putting her head down like that every few few seconds?

  • @turtle277 It's an Atonic Seizure (Head drop seizures).

  • @CornPuffStudios117 question how bad is that and is there ever a way to fix it?

  • can someone please explain en epileptic seizure?

  • @ZeroCrypt An epileptic seizure is a transient symptom of excessive or synchronous neuronal activity in the brain. It can manifest as an alteration in mental state, tonic or clonic movements, convulsions, and various other psychic symptoms (such as déjà vu or jamais vu)

Triggers can differ from person to person and include lack of sleep, stress, alcohol and flickering lights (called photosensitive epilepsy).

    Hope this helps

    Sources: Wikipedia

  • I also have epilepsy, the type i have is a tonic clonic type. I hate it, i can feel for you :(

  • I take 500mg of Lamictal daily. I used to take Dilantin and Phenobarbitol for the longest time.

  • Keppra & Depakene.

    Consult your doctor first.

  • Baby girl hang in there

  • ask her Dr, about KEPPRA and CLONAZEPAM. They might help her..

  • @markredmond1000 are you just randomly saying drugs that you have heard of?

  • I don't have much knowledge on this, but things like this are actually very interesting. As far as I've seen, they all resemble computers, all theese types of seizures behave exactly like computer errors, for example, this is like a short, repeating reeboot, because the stratup data is corrupted. Or the serious and scary ones, that are like operating Sistem faliure (blue screen of death) followed by the Restart of the computer, The host will only experience a blackout and wont remember anything.

  • @coolbionicle That's because the human brain DOES work like a computer.

  • ABSENCE SEIZURE!

  • I have epilepsy and take Tegretol to control it

  • @BustDays

I have epilepsy and I'm telling you i don't think you have it. Because if you did you wouldn't be making terrible jokes about it

  • is this stop motion?

  • @damagejackal1 No, just taken on a cell phone.

  • @merrypresent so it is stop motion?

  • thank you. While you're trying to help your loved one you're probably helping others. i wish I had your courage.

  • I hope you had a trial of ACTH as a child. If you had hypsarrhthmia - Vagibatran can help too

  • this stuff newhjjhnguhnyzghaniz never happens to me

  • My son is 18. His seizures are like this. They go on for about 30 min. then he is

o k for about 4 to 5 days then it cones back. What are you taking yo help you. My son takes Lamotrigine and Banzel. We Dr. @ Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN

  • @lawnservjoe I have used Topamax but it never worked (It was known to be the best and most agressive med out there) ... but the side effects are not worth its inefficacy

I would sincerly tell you : buy him some weed .. (im not even kidding , im epileptic myself).. it really WORKED for me..

  • @lawnservjoe She takes Felbatol, and she had a VNS implanted.

  • @merrypresent poor kid :[ how old is she?? i could never think of what it would be like to have seizures like that

  • @lawnservjoe Try medical cannabis

  • @lawnservjoe my dad had them 6-8 times a day but then a doctor gave Dilantin and Depakote and now he has them once or twice a year.

  • @lawnservjoe

He Needs An Epileptic Doctor That Knows the Grams of an Medicine Then After 100 Days You need to come back again May i know what Grams He had?

  • @lawnservjoe MIRACLE WHIP IS BETTER FUCK AWF

  • @lawnservjoe 30 mins is kinda long!!! I've got epilepsy and I know that if it lasts for longer than 2 mins it's status epilepticus and it's extremely dangerous as it may severely damage the a brain.

  • My son is 18. His seizures are like this. They go on for about 30 min. then he is

ok for about 4 to 5 days then it cones back.

What are you taking yo help you. My son takes Lamotrigine and Banzel. We Dr. @ Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN

  • I have that its awful

  • looks like tourettes to me

  • @davisotj1 But tourettes involves also Vocal Tics, right? They make a sound or say words also.. .. Im not sure..

  • @taztaz79 well it really depends on the person, some people's tics are only vocal, like a word or a sound, while other others only have tics that involve involuntary movement.

  • She's cute

  • I have seizures too and I've had them for almost 6 yrs. I got a VNS but it didn't help any. A month ago I had brain surgery in Memphis and so far my seizures aren't as bad as before. I am now able to tell when im about to have one and able to talk while having them

  • Ready to hear the cure?? Melatonin.

  • @EnigmaV8 She does take that, every night.

  • @merrypresent Have you noticed it helps? And how much does she take?

  • These jerks happen to me aswell just within the first 20 - 30 minutes whenever i wake up and i move too quickly when it happens i then go into a full blown epileptic seizure.

I have temporal - lobe / tonic clonic supposedly??? so the doc says.

  • My daughter was diagnosed with infantile spasams at age 2 ... She went on ACTH and the seizures stopped ... She has been off of it for about 2 weeks now and the seizures have started agian.. what are you feeling while you have the seizures? I would love to know so that i can make my daughter as comfortable as possible while shes going through it.. Most likely we will be doing another round of ACTH in the near future.

  • Could it be a form of tourettes?

  • I can see she has a very strong mind as she struggles to fight them off.

  • Is she on a bunk bed, ??

  • @HeadGirl Yes. We got rid of it, though, because we were afraid she might fall off some night.

  • @merrypresent I actually was diagnosed with Epilepsy because I fell off of my bunk bed and had a 3rd degree concussion. I've been dealing with this for a little over a year now, and I am 14 years old, also a type one diabetic. I still don't know much about my Epilepsy, but they are looking further into to it for my family and I.

  • Infantile spasms are seen only in babies and are outgrown by age 3. After age 3 other types of seizures can develop, but it is no longer considered infantile spasms. Infantile spasms is characterized by hypsarrhythmia on an EEG which usually goes away by 24 months old. I am VERY curious to know if your daughter is having hypsarrhythmia currently at her age??? This is very unusual, but it would prove very important for other families if some children never outgrow this. Please shed some light!

  • It is rare, but it can continue.

you can use Google and find some limited information about it.

  • was it a seizure i had or just to much excitment was getting reading to go ot a wedding and i rember my head tilting to one side seeing yellow dots and then falling back on the bed making grunting noises went to hospital had 3 or 4 more attacks my mouth felt all horrible afterwards had a taste like tin appear as i was going to this state can anyone help answering this

  • can anyonetell me what it was i had i can remeber it like yesterday i was getting ready to go to my sisters wedding drying my hair on the bed half dressed and i started to see yellow dots in my eyes going off and on like a light then my head started to go to one side as i was trying to control the hair dryer i remember falling back on the bed and made grunting noises to whick then a ambulance was called i even remember walking into the ambulance but it happened 3 times again

  • It's been 4 years since you posted the video. How's her condition now? Tried any alternative medication or therapy?

  • She is tough! I hope you find something that will help her endure.

  • @akaboy4life cannabis is a form of medication look it up, it works for me in my case better than what ive been prescibed, weed isnt as bad as most think of it, it was legal & great when America needed it during the war, what now the war is over weeds now illegal fuck off hypercritical fucks we know nothing about it and they want to fuck it off all together common wake up it's the narcotics and the piss causing most peoples problems in this world, and half the time they use weed as the excuse..

  • That must really suck having epilepsie. I wish you all the best.

  • @christmas25998 umm seizures happen when your awake to if not most of the time . who told you you can only have seizures when you sleeping? and seizures come in many forms

  • @christmas25998 You need to study up on this. There are all kind of seizures. You don't have to be asleep to have them. It can happen anytime, anyplace. It would be great for everyone to learn what they really are.

  • Since we dont fully understand the brain, there isnt a cure for mental disorders.

    There is only therapy.

  • Sad to see people with issues like this, but I'm also very glad that she's getting help. Best of luck with everything

  • I had a seizure one time, it occurred after serious head injury in which i fractured my skull, had three cracked vertebrae, hematoma, and severe concussion. What freaked me out the most was the seizure i had a week after I left the hospital.

Imagine going to the garage for a smoke and then waking up in the e.r. 12 hours later with a a breathing tube in your throat. ugh!

  • Has she ever had an EEG done ? I just had one seizure this morning and it is getting really annoying

  • these look like the drop seizures that my son has

  • very hard to watch because I understand this all to well. :(

  • There's nothing that makes me wanna kill myself more than this shit... I feel so sad for everyone that this happens to........ Right now, I'm scared of falling asleep cuz I had a fucked up moment yesterday and now I have a hard time breathing.

  • @AnimeOtaku2010 : I have some, and you do NOT want any. People can die from Seizures.

  • I've seen a seizure happen before. It happened to a guy I knew. Some guy put his jacket under his head. I later learned that he was prone to seizures and that's why it happened to him. I also learned he was a hobo because no one wanted to hire him because of the potential injury his seizures could cause... Poor guy...he's a nice and generous guy always trying to help people and he's poor for something that isn't even his fault...

  • Poor thing looks miserable :(

  • @manny93087 i had it twice and im still wondering wht it looked like

  • she should try medical cannabis

  • @PreciousWords88 I agree - Heard it does really reduce the amount and severity over time.

  • @PreciousWords88 you didnt describe how many she need to take. 5 grams each day in a closed enviremont with no vetilation. And keep puffing 20-30 mins while listening to afro man because i got high. For further information about the medical please contact a dealer near a corner.

  • @PreciousWords88 no doubt marijuana is the cure it will put her to ease

  • @PreciousWords88

thats what i use, to stop my gran mals

  • @PreciousWords88 You DO realize there is a number of studies and articles that show that medical cannabis actually worsens epilepsy, and if your doctor prescribes it for that, you should really do some reading. The chemical does absolutely NOTHING to inhibit the brain from seizing. It's only aid is helping a patient come down from the seizure and calm down, but you would have to take it right before and directly after and that would rarely be possible.

  • @lonerayven It actually does have chemicals that are also in the lamictal pills I have to take, and if you stay prepared it's not very hard to use it right before and after. I have partial complex seizures and If I feel one coming and I'm able to hurry up and take a hit right away the seizure kind of wears off before it kicks in all the way. And I do have a prescription.

  • @lonerayven you are 1 big dumbfuck

Im epileptic .. I used to take ''topamax'' which was my prescription @ the time... and had 2 seizures (massive ones .. got knocked the fuckout twice while using these meds) . I started smoking weed after that.. and I can tell you one thing: It worked!!!

this planet does not need more people like you who never experienced nothing in life.. all you do is read books and studies.. thats sick... because you donte even know taht youre an idiot :S

  • @PreciousWords88 im not playn around but medical weed ????

  • Well..All that happens to me is that my eyes blackout for a few seconds and i feel really weak like i dont feel like moving at all i just feel falling down or something....it happens at least 6 times a week.

  • how sad. that happens to me on my feint spells when i don't eat anythig. also my ees become diolatede and roll to the bac of my head. my head starts to hurt when i come out of my feint spells.

  • i understand wat shes going though i hav epilepsy its hard ro deal with it but its not as mild as some seizures that i heard of i have one tht when i know one coming on i see these flashing spaking lights in front of my eyes and my eyes twitch and then i fall a sleep and then i throw up and i feel better now im 13 years old and its not as bad anymore

  • i have epilepsy i feel dizzy then black out and claps and start shaking on the floor when i have a seizure

  • My heart goes out to you daughter.I know what she is going through. I have epilepsy as well. I wish her all the best.

  • well its like faint for like a second and my whole body twitches . its reallly crazy . ppl say it looks like a giant shiver . it has never happened well i was driving luckly . but its probably only a matter of time

  • i have not been to a doctor but i have this happen to me many times daily, but like diadicristiono was saying they are much worse . well sometimes they are just like the video and sometimes i catch myself right before im about to hit the ground . and if something is in my hand like a glass it usuly ends up smashed halfway across the room.. what are your thoughts on me seeing a doctor? im 20 now and it happened when i was younger sometimes but it happens more and more as i get older .

  • Haven't your parents been concerned about it? From what you say, it sounds scary. What if you were driving? Yes I would definitely see a doctor if I were you. Just tell any doctor about it and he/she will know what to do. There are pills you can take to help it, or not. Step One is for you to find out whether it's a seizure or not since other disorders can imitate epilepsy. The glass being across the room makes me think you are unaware during?

  • @ydojsmith make sure you see a neurologist. you may have juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. Does this tend to run in the family?

  • theres nothing the guy in the interview can do its not like he can help it just happens

  • my son has the same thing they started at 6 months old he is now currently 4 he was diagnosed with infantile spasms and it looks exactly the same as what the video shows what type of medication is she on if you dont mind my asking

  • Now she's taking Felbatol.

She started with infantile spasms at eight months.

But she took other things first -- prednisone, Acthar gel. Klonopin. Topomax and Felbatol came much later. Hope your son does better.

  • To you goobers who say this is fake its not. first a seizure can be as short as few seconds to over 30mins but its dangrous once time is 5 mins or longer of sz. secondly i think this was complex partial on account she did the lip smacking they can behave many ways. 3rd and this may or may have not lasted longer her dad did say he'd turn off camerea to her. now those you who think you know it alls go do some reasearch

  • read what a myoclonic tonic seizure is before you call this fake, this is a type of epilepsy that can happen up to 50 times a day, or is very common in people before they have a grand mal seizure.

  • I have more than 200 daily, and they are more exaggerated than this, but they are very quick. Whoever wrote that this was fake on the basis that it was quick, obviously knows nothing about seizures.

  • not true. there are different types of epilepsy or seizures. You can black out, you can have a full blown grand mal seizure. I know this as I have epilepsy and suffer grand mal seizures. I did go out with a girl who had seizures like the lady in the video

  • This isn't the whole seizure, Tito.

  • Looks exactly like head-drop seizures...

  • that was so not a seizure

  • well unless thats after she had one i had one last night when i came to i could barely talk or move but it wasnt i that was the victim here it was my comp R.I.P. knock off the lamp and two bottles of water and a moniter right into my comp

  • Inaudible, so impossible to tell what her level of consciousness is, but this is most definitely not a tonic-clonic seizure. There is neither tonicity, nor myoclonicity.

This is perhaps a focal seizure, but the inaccurate description leads me to suspect that this is self-diagnosed.

But what do I know. I'm just a doctor.

  • Serious..

  • What's your specialty?

Her diagnoses come from neurologists. After many video EEGs.

There is audio -- it's very soft though.

We are interested in what you think about it --

  • have you tried medical marijuana i think it would help greatly in reducing the number of seizures per year

  • @merrypresent Im pretty sure she is trying to simply talk, i have this happen to everytime i have seizures as i did today tho followed by a grand mal, your mind functions your thoughts are there but gibber comes out lucky i had a set of keys in my hands or i wouldnt had been able to attract anyone's to help me through the seizure though atleast atm i can feel my seizures comming on a couple mins before i have it.. goodluck...

  • @1197799 Thank you for a professional answer. I am in nursing school and we are studying epileptic seizures in the pregnant woman. While watching this I figured it was a focal and not a grand-mal because there was no tonic-clonic and no deep inhalations after. It was more like her head just kept dropping.

  • @1197799 im intrestedin these things and was wandering if you could tell me alll about seizures. (types)

  • @1197799 its most probably partial simple seizure coz its the type in which patient is some how aware of his surroundings

  • @1197799 That looks like my form of seizures I get, and I have temporal-lobe epilepsy

  • i didnt start having seizures till i was 19 they are one of the worst things you can ever have an my hears goes out to all of us. we will one day beat this

  • I totally agree with you. I had MILD seizure disorder when I was in fourth grade. I was put on meds that had adverse side effects, which ruined my adolescence and teen hood. Then, I tapered off the meds, and thought that I would never have a seizure again. But dang it -- I had a relapse in October 07, when I was in the school cafeteria. Now I'm on better meds.

  • That was like me after I had a seizure. I was real confused.

    -Jenna

  • wat type of fits do u have? my sort of fits is like my body shakes and i black out for roughly 5 mins then as soon as i woke up the compleatly slured my speech for 2 mins.

  • emma watson.

  • You fuckin woke her up , with a camera in her face!!!! anyone would react like that! go to hell dad, twisted maniac!!!

  • not weird. definitely a seizure. looks like what i have. its called juvenile-onset myoclonic epilepsy (J.M.E.). It's not fun, so don't be a jerk and make declarative statements about things you know nothing about. thanks and best wishes! ;)

  • Hey. I know how are tough it is. It isnt matters to me though, because i have some problem (not seizure)

My key words is "No one are perfect"

I am deaf, like 99.98% deaf. Tough life, going through tough life is really hard for me. FInally i've been success(ed) figured out, I have some depression problems. Also your video are educated to me. I always wondering that seizure identifies is only that bonucing your head, but educated that seizure can be variety types of seizure

    ~Ryan

  • I've been epileptic since I was 9, I'm now 25. Up until 5 years ago I only had night time grand mal seizure. This is defiatly not one of them but it is a fit. I get these too. You get dizzy and confused and unaware of anything, you may wake in seconds or you may get worse into a grand mal.

  • Ah, thank you! I learned a new word short-cut! W/e!

ps and I knew what you meant about Tourette's Syndrome, I figured that one out!

  • looks more like torrets or w/e

  • W/E?

  • wut ever, referance to my bad spelling

  • That is not grand mal for sure

  • girl is uber cute :)

  • Could this slam you into things ?

  • Yeah, a kid on my school got a seizure in the requess and he was standing and started shaking then fell down hitted his head into the ground, then he was shaking much more and every time he slammed his head more into the ground, horrible to watch the whole school was watching.

  • Same happened at my skl

  • i had 2 seizures when i was 9 years old but now in 39 dont know why i had them?? does she have them all day or just in the morning

  • Very little is known about seizure disorder in general. depression and other behavior disorders may be forms of epilepsy not yet understood. Medication for seizures is being investigated as depression/behavioral treatment, too. what stinks is, the mechanism of these drugs are not well understood, and medications usually generalize ie: lower ALL electrical/biochemical activity instead of the suspect area in the brain. Paradoxically, some drugs for depression/seizures can cause seizures.

  • most likely yes

  • sounds like a tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizure. textbook epilepsy.

  • LOL grand mal... No way is that a grand mal!

  • i can see why somebody would not agree, but with these different syndromea and seizure types the lines blur. She seems to lose consciousness, and also seems to have a degree of myoclonus and an initial tensing up of muscle. obviously without proper monitoring etc and maybe an eeg its hard to tell but you mustn't write these things off because they look slightly different to what you're used to
