This is in absolutly no way a virus. Its a computer order. The main point with a virus is that it is spreading. So a virus in itself is really harmless. It is all just what you program it to do when it spreads, its all about that.

this won't delete all the files on a pc to do that you would have to type the following:

and save the file as whatever you want.exe

Oh and, this isn't exactly a virus but can be more deadly than one. As Anti-Viruses and Anti-Malware programs look for PROGRAMS (or advanced hacking stuff) and not just simple command lines. Also, Perhaps an Anti-Virus might detect an image containing a hidden .bat notepad and delete it, or it might just detect it and identify it as a non-threat and leave as is.. or better yet; not detect it all.

Hmm.. I haven't tested any of my theories yet.

- How do I make it so when you open the "image", it will execute the .bat/notepad commands?

- I think I know how to make a window pop up displaying a message.

I think I have figured out how to totally destroy someones PCs using built-in Windows tools.. all by watching several Youtube videos.. first is the 7th episode of "try it yourself" - where I learned how to combine two files into one. I can combine a .bat notepad containing these command lines into an image and when you open the "image"the .bat will execute, therefore doing thecommand lines(which can be several, deleting system32, a window comes up saying "Virus detected", and then pc shuts down)

First off that's not a virus what so ever. Second, when executed it will not delete anything, it will display the following: C:\windows\system32\*, Are you sure (Y/N)?

Common sense would suggest to type N. If you was anywhere near smart, you would replace the cmd on the victums computer with a modified cmd and switch the N and Y. Type N press enter would be the oppsite (Y). The process of doing all of this would most likely overwhelm your brain. Get an Assembler and play with *.exe files. =)

That's easy to fix actually, and yes you can log back into windows. Might I suggest a LLF. Easily done with Assembly might I add. =) Then you know for sure there is no way to log in to windows. Why?
