is there no protection for the gums. surely the product would sting if go onto the gum area

The Bright-n-White teeth whitening system uses a unique blend of carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide based teeth whitening gel along with an activator. Because of the blend clients are not experiencing any issue with the solution touching the gums and stinging. In a few cases a white area will appear at the gum line, this goes away after about 15min.

everything looks fine, except I would not let the client take out the retractor until they remove the gel with a cotton role, otherwise the gel may get on the inside of the lips and cause sensitivity, then let them rinse, dry and reapply.
