That was said by his wife, family and friends. 2. "J.D." does not stand for anything. That was his given name. His father named him after a character (J.D. of the mountains) in one of his favorite books. 3. TIppit's location at time of JFK assassination is in Dallas police log.

Regardless what anyone thinks of any particular conspiracy theory, EVERY American should be appalled at the lack of disclosure in the investigation into the murder of the president. The gov't's mishandling (at the least) of this case destroyed a great deal of the faith Americans once held in the government.

Evidently, when Oswald got the job at the TSBD, the motorcade route had yet to be published, so we have to chalk that up to coincidence.

Another thing, however, that makes Oswald look the guilty party is his press conference. He's the only person in the nation to show no interest or concern at the death of the President; his only concern is for himself and his right to an attorney. I think the more natural response of an innocent party would be an indignant "Hey, I didn't do this crime!"

I used to be a conspirisist, but I've moved on with my life. The 2 things which still bug me, however, are not the ballistics, but Ruby shooting Oswald on schedule, and the coincidence of Oswald - already an attempted political assassin of Gen. Walker - securing a job at the TSBD 2 months before JFK's scheduled motorcade. I've lived almost 50 years and have yet to have a president cross my path under any circumstance, much less drive past me within sniper range. That coincidence is staggering.

bikefixer - Yes, Ruby HAD to arrive right on time because he had no press pass and he might have been thrown out if he just stood around waiting.

He went down the ramp right on time, and long after Oswald was supposed to have made his appearance.

He was waiting at the Western Union office, where the walls were lined with pay phones.

There were no cell phones back then. If this were any other case, would you have a problem figuring out how he knew when to go?

Two ppl shot the JFK. The first bullet entered the back through the throat...that's the one that hit the governor. The secoond hit him directly on the right side of his head. It's all about the principles of angles and momentum. Very simple. There is no "magic bullet."

Just wish the quality of film was better. The audio was truly amazing. If you were close enough to the motorcade to hear Mrs. Kennedy say "My God he's shot!". You have to be pretty close to the action. I'm not sure about the man run up the hill. That doesn't really prove anything. I would love to know how the polaroid picture came out on the assassination. I'm sure that the Secret Service has it somewhere in their files. Fasinating film no less. Thanks for sharing this with us.

The polaroid picture was in many newspapers the next day. You have probably seen it. It shows Jackie leaning over a slumping JFK.

One group of conspiratists think the doctors at Parkland & Bethesda were in on their nonsense scenario, to your credit your not. Did you ever see the autopsy photo showing the small bullet wound in the back of the head? If you look at it closely there is a hand at the upper right corner holding the scalp into place. THAT has been ridiculously used by conspiracy people to show something irregular, but that's just how they took the photo. Nothing sinister about it!

If it's that Gjdude 9 minute thing, I wouldn't be that impressed by those 3 second clips of the doctors. Note at about the 6 minute mark is the photo where at the upper right, the doctor is holding his scalp into place. When people criticize that the doctors had no experience in gun shot wounds - of the ones that do, NONE! have experience with a 6.5 x 52mm hole in the back of someones head traveling at 2000+ ft/second! It's only cut and dry for ballistic amateurs who want to pretend!

I really don't think it was the complete opposite part of the head as you say. His right part of the head (scalp and hair) was hanging by a flap. In 1991 the Parkland doctors saw the original autopsy photos and it was how they remembered it. "Pepper" Jenkins mentioned "how sacriligious it would have been" to examine the head wound with the First Lady present after pronouncing the President dead.

It's hard to understand, but you probably do get people that want their 15 minutes of fame. You have to weed through who could have seen/heard what. ANYONE that says they saw "a puff of steam" like Holland you can exclude. Oswald $15 gun and THAT cheap rifle didn't emit smoke! Also on Holland, the 5 lead motorcycle cops (preceeding Chief Curry's car) where approaching the underpass for the 1st shot was first & leaving it on the 2nd & 3rd. Too much noise, from that distance for an earwitness.
