hes on the track, a drag track, and you guys think its something special when hes getting 1 mpg, what do you expect with foot to floor, i have a 2003 2500hd, says that all the time with a hard launch, it only gets 11mpg tops

i am just not understandin this dam muffler.. the one i read about has an automatic valve that opens up when it senses alot of pressure but this one is manual like cutouts so is it a muffler with a straight pipe route an a baffled route? just open the valve an route it thru the straight pipe?

cut-outs make it to where the engine whatever doesnt go through the muffler and gives it a straight pipe sound.

a whole lot less back pressure.. the shorter it is the less back pressure u have which most of the time means more pwer but not all the time.. u still gotta have a certain amount of back pressure..

It's doesn't get 1mpg. It WILL lower the mpg but not that significantly.

Its instantaneous MPG. You would be lucky to get 1mph while dragging it. Doesn't mean it gets 1mpg overall though, not by a long shot lol

what does that have for an engine 5.3? we dont have the ss, we have an 03 3/4 ton crew with the 6.0 and the stock on that sounds a little like what you have execpt for the higher RPMs like when you were passing, that sounded like our 91 with the glasspacks. anyways great vid n nice truck.

it has an lq9 6.0 liter, which is a higher compression version of the lq4 6.0 liter you have in your 3/4 ton. the lq9 has flat top pistons and your lq4 has dished pistons.
