Iran was also called Persia before which also consisted of two words. In modern Kurdish " per" means full and " rsia" or " Sian" means dirt or shit. Well... this goes for every government citizens relationship. The population is never directly responsible for its government. Still persians and turks do not fight the politics against the kurds, they only raise up when they are aflectec, thats why your distinction gets fuzzy. I can make a distinction, anyone can, but the government is still ruled by persian authorities not allowing the kurds to participate in the system. @NizoumiPars I have read books! Kurdish books also, they all say new Persian has its origins in Central Asia and Khorasan (Parthia) not in south Iran. New Persian became known after the Islamic invasion, where they got ride of Middle Persian. Southern Iran suffered very hard from Arabs.
Yes that is correct. there is a part of southern Fars (PArs) that the Arab invaders were pushed back, this is where I am from. We were Gabrs (zerostrians) until 375 yrs ago (time of shah abbas safavi), my forefathers were forced to convert to shia islam they had no chice other wise they had to move to India, Its intresting my pple who converted at the time of Arabs are sonni but they speak the same language as us.
In 1970, I spent a few months hitch-hiking through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. This music reminds of parts of that journey. It was wonderful to sense the love expressed by people through their open-heartedness and generosity. It is a love which sadly seems to be missing from many of the comments on this page. In many respects it is understandable but I hope those who carry bitterness manage to move their hearts into something more wholesome.

@NizoumiPars I have read books! Kurdish books also, they all say new Persian has its origins in Central Asia and Khorasan (Parthia) not in south Iran. New Persian became known after the Islamic invasion, where they got ride of Middle Persian. Southern Iran suffered very hard from Arabs.

Yes that is correct. there is a part of southern Fars (PArs) that the Arab invaders were pushed back, this is where I am from. We were Gabrs (zerostrians) until 375 yrs ago (time of shah abbas safavi), my forefathers were forced to convert to shia islam they had no chice other wise they had to move to India, Its intresting my pple who converted at the time of Arabs are sonni but they speak the same language as us.

In 1970, I spent a few months hitch-hiking through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. This music reminds of parts of that journey. It was wonderful to sense the love expressed by people through their open-heartedness and generosity. It is a love which sadly seems to be missing from many of the comments on this page. In many respects it is understandable but I hope those who carry bitterness manage to move their hearts into something more wholesome.

the fars have always lived in partnership with their kurd brothers as well as the meads, and other ethnic groups. many of the persian empires of the past were originally born from these different groups living together, whilst being able to retain who they are, because we all accepted and allowed the others to be who they are.

You have NO idea about Hurrians and Hurrian language at all. Actuelly Kurmanjs who live in the same area of Hurrians have a better and a more Europian language than the Rest of Kurds! and afew Hurrian things like (erga...) is only found in the Sorani grammer not Kurmanj. So the Hurrians desapeared and died out. There is a huge evidence that says: Hurrians moved west ward when Kurds came and Settled in Kurdistan. and the later Hurrian land was the Less Armenia around Adana.
