Not gonna lie, if I wanted to live someplace rural (and if I didn't have to learn to speak Ukrainian first :P), I would live there. I love that kind of "ghost town" or "Fallout-esque" atmosphere, where it's modern, with all the amenities of a modern life, and yet rural, where nature has reclaimed it, and you can still find pieces of lost artifacts of a bygone era that people hadn't seen for maybe 20 years.
it still not over the Cap over the reactor is fale and they know somthing will have to be done ,,they estamate 5 Billon to recap it the world has to come to Russa aid
To ChernobylWildZone-does anyone live in Pripyat right now? I wonder if anyone will return there to live, though the decayed buildings would probably have to be torn down.

@ChernobylWildZone I know you say that it isn't really a risk to your health, but surely the amount of radiation absorbed by those vehicles during the clean up is a serious risk to your health, if only for a short while, I'm sure I read somewhere that the vehicles and the Red Forest burial site are the most contaminated areas apart from Reactor 4. Appreciate the upload though, probably the most fascinating subjects I've ever read about and your pictures really tell a story. Thanks for sharing.
I'm going to the exclusion zone next month...

@JJ9715 the radiation there has a half life of 24.000 plus years so it will be long befor anyone goes back to living there
KiraMercer 8 months ago
What was the radiation near those vehicles at 1:32?
GaCCow 8 months ago
@GaCCow They were Radio-Operated bulldoasers. I thought they were destroyed until saw this. Amazing. These were tested prior to the explosion
SHIBAInuFilms 8 months ago
@GaCCow Steel absorbs the radiation, so does stuff like moss, i believe

Exclusion zone? Should be called the Death Zone. Any stay above 2-3 days or a week is a health risk?

@planetboy13 you cant "fix" radiation its there until who knows when, which makes it dangerous for people

why risk your health going there???

@fj9fl Here, in Exclusion Zone, not as dangerous as is commonly believed. For 2-3 days trips in Chernobyl ZONE is not risks for your health.
