I love the spinning! :-) I also understand everything your family is going through. Several years ago my son, who was 3 at the time, broke his femur as well. He had surgery to place pins and rods, weeks in a traction bed in the hospital and then a full-body cast at home for 8 weeks. During the hottest summer months he was in plaster from his chest to his toes! Today he's almost 10 years old and has no problems - he wrestles, plays football and soccer.
Clark is going full tilt again and is perfectly healed! In the next week he will become a big brother for the first time. We can wait to meet this new addition to the family!
So glad to hear your son healed so thoroughly also!
Just goes to show that a child in that type of situation can and will come over all obsticles in there way, I hope he gets better-----Just in the meantime spinning like that Is ok just in small doses
that is funny. kids are always so optimistic in the worst of circumstances. i hope he gets better real soon, and i hope he still wants to run after that comes off. best of luck to all
Thank you for posting that. So many parents are scared to death of that cast. I run a help group on yahoo for Legg Calve Perthes disease. If you don't mind, I'm going to post a link for the parents there. Brian

Clark broke his femur while running in his
back yard.... his foot got caught and down
he went...
4 more weeks in that rig!
He's doing fine but mom and dad are worn out.
He weighs 55 lbs with that cast but only
weighed 27 before the cast... HEAVY!

oh man, i couldn't imagine the pain
for Clark or his parents.
