The room with the invisible floor can totally be skipped, for the most part. All you have to do is lift up a pot and dash into the other. That will send you to the other side, making that lamp totally unnecessary. Good speedrunning tactic for sure.... :)

6:07 Those turret things only fire if you swing your sword. If you use the charged attack, they fire constantly until you release the button, and similarly if you do the dash attack they fire as long as you are running (because you also have your sword out).

Don't know if anyone mentioned it, but those 4 guns or whatever didn't shoot at you because they only shoot when you swing your sword. They would have made killing the skeletons a lot harder had you only used your sword.

@TheZero1312 I'm fairly sure he's unbeatable without the Ice and Fire Rods. The heads only take damage from the sword after they get hit by the appropriate rod. If you run out of magic, you're also screwed (just like against the boss of the Ice Dungeon).

You know...I played this game recently for the first time without a guide (well, I used a guide to find out how to get the silver arrows and golden sword) and GOD did I make the whole game harder than it needed to be. I never had the magic cape, Byrna Cane, Bombos magic, double magic upgrade, or arrows/bombs upgrade. Also for that room where there's a dark pit and you light that torch, I never saw the torch so I freaking made Cane of Somaria blocks and pushed them so I knew where the edges were.

Ganon's Tower used to give me such a hard time when I was a kid. I'd get so hopelessly lost. It wound up being one of those dungeons that I became too intimidated by and so I'd never play past it, making the problem worse.

But then a few years ago I gave this game a playthrough and it was easy. I guess over the intervening years I just got better and observing things and I was able to quickly figure it out.

Speedrun trick: for the invisible floor room, you can lift 1 skull, then use dash knockback against the other to skip most of the path.

The only thing of note on the right half of 1F is Captain Obvious's Compass that directs you to the top floor of the tower. And compared to the left side, it's longer and more tedious.

If I was to take a guess: You like Majora's Mask better than Ocarina of Time because of not only the story of the game, but the description and details that are in it as well?

Not even from a gameplay standpoint, but the fact a lot of the NPC's actually have some sort of story to them was what really lured me into MM more than any other Zelda game. That, and the game has a lot of back story to it, some evident, and some extremely subtle.
