I've been searching forever for Christian Thrash metal and I've finally found it.. all I used to get was like Flyleaf and Thousand Foot Krutch, but now I can listen to the music I like and still get a good message out of it. Whoever posted this thank you!
I don't really get the christianity within metal thing going down. I can appreciate christians operating within metal; some of the best metal musicians are christian, but i can't stand the idea of metal that revolves around christian faith and the bible, that was never what metal was supposed to be about.
I mean, any band that carries the same theme throughtout thier carreer will stagnate? right?
@fnuff Its really aimmed at Christians that still dig metal, but don't to listen to bands like Slayer and Possessed. Metal is a style based on sound, ideology is pretty open I'd say, to the musicians beliefs.
You have a valid argument, though Christian or not, you gotta respect bands like Slayer and Possesed. If metal isn't related to ideaology and revolves soley around musicianship, then wouldn't these Christian Thrash fans want to listen to the godfathers? Nobody did thrash like Slayer and Reign in Blood is argueable the best thrash album ever.
@fnuff For sure man, I've got alot of respect for Slayer and Possessed as musicians and pioneers of thrash, black and death metal.
Some Christians do listen to stuff like Possessed and Slayer, its down to the individual but for me personally... I've got a history of listening to these bands and assoc certain things with them, such as my previous involvement with the occult and such.
@fnuff And I think people generally will listen to music generally that is in agreement with what they believe, be they Christian, new ager or Satanist etc. It seems to me to be a human trait.

i'm happy there is christian metal because, listening to bands like slayer and others isn't altimes good... the music is great.. really... but thier lyrics arent that great..

One of my all time favorite Christian bands!
