  • @3:40 One day a fly got into bear grylls mouth, well it never made it out...... Les shouldn't spoil some good protein ^^

  • les is a beaver.

  • boil all water, just to be sure.his first mistake.

  • This was the toughest one survivorman did.

  • opps thought this was man vs wild i was wondering who that guy was XD

  • so now i have to find the comment SniperViper posted to know which show dafidd had meant... -.-

  • No. The feet first is not the problem with Bear. Its his running jump that takes him 10 or 15 feet down a slope before he lands that's ill advised. No point in it. You sit on your ass and slide. Avoiding mechanical injury in the wild is a top priority. No matter how good you are a broken ankle resulting from needless jumping is gonna doom you.

  • id lik a wallfle

  • i'm surprised he didn't build his shelter off of the ground. granted, it must be damn difficult to do so with nothing but natural materials, but it's the one bit of advice that i thought was essential in jungle survival.

  • Lesson of the day, carry a bush knife.

  • I love the dude randomly chopping something at 3:19!

  • Stroud has no weaknesses. Bear is all show --some of it down right bad advice. No true survivalist will tell you to sled down a mountain or slide down a rocky slope by jumping feet first. Break a bone out in the wilderness doing stupid Bear stuff and you'll die there.

  • @seymourbbest so you would slide down a slope with head first? xD

  • At a Papua airfield and didn't get shot and robbed?

  • why do we have to have the gryllis vs. survivorman battle on each video, guys please stop.. they both have strengths weaknesses... Why don't you all go make your own shows and then compare yours to theirs... Done children done. go to your rooms and eat your hotpockets.

  • This is some cool shit man..

  • sad last survivorman episode

  • I bet he wishes he was back on that pacific Island :)

man this guy+Ray Mears are the best at this.

  • I HATE BUGS nothing else said.

  • I hope he does a special survivorman in the future man last ep the pro/dir shld have brought him a lobster meal in the middle of the ep thanks for the upload

  • Dafidd I'd love so Pop Corn!! and a coke! lol not in to waffles just sitting back enjoying the show! thanks again mate. Rod

  • Why did he stop?

  • @gamergeeko He said a man can only go 7 days with little to no food and water and sleeping on rocks before hes had enough. Hes doing a show called beyond survival now.

  • That tribe was pretty nice to give him those supplies and food :>

  • "ho tic tic tic tic. ho tic tic tic tic. hiyaahaaaaaaaah."

  • Omg man you need to get off the ground , otherwise you will be eaten alive

  • His main problem will be , bugs, bugs, bugs!

  • Flies in the mouth, brutal

  • its his last survivorman espisode cause after he finish dancing with them, they ate him..

  • he should have swept the floor around his camp. i'd be paranoid about a scorpion crawling on my face in my sleep.

  • 3:40 ah flies in the mouth !!!

    swallow, it's proteins :)

  • who would win in a cage match bear grylls or survivor man?

  • @Dafidd If still still even get on youtube can you get LEs Strouds other series Les Stroud Beyon Survival?

  • Did Les just say "fuckin" around 4:33??

    Tee-hee that's a bad word.

    Lolz

    Great episode regardless.

  • "tickletickletickle" hahahah

  • even after a few yrs of watchin this (more lke 2-3 yrs) i still find it funny dat it sounds lke the echoes in the beggining sound lke tickle tickle tickle XD

  • In addition, the show had also allegedly faked numerous other scenes, including a scene in which Grylls had been shown building a raft that had already been built and then deconstructed for him, a scene in which he was shown skinning a rabbit he had falsely claimed to catch in a trap he'd built, and a scene in which he encountered "wild horses" that the show had actually been brought in from a trekking station. o.O

  • @ramzbogs

what's even more surprising is that interview on letterman, it was about taming wild horses with a rope. bear admitted they were local, domestic horses.but on the show, he clearly said they were wild and untamed.

  • According to the investigation, Grylls -- who, unlike Stroud, is accompanied by a production crew while filming his wilderness adventures -- had actually slept indoors at local motels or resorts during at least two occasions in which the show had led viewers to believe he was actually spending the night outdoors.

  • Full power of nature...it's hard but.... O

  • tons of bad snakes there

  • I love this dude for the one reason, he says the temperature in degrees Celsius and says vitamins right

  • @baxter2036 thats two reasons.....

  • survivor man should make new episodes.

  • i love survivor man. My thing is if im gonna Sit around and watch tv every now and than then i might as well watch something that will most likely Benefit me in the long run. And considering the fact that hes all by himself with no camera crew like a sissy (*cough Man vs wild *cough) and he sets up all the camera shots with the tripod by himself and all the camera shots it just makes watching his show that much better.

  • Bear Grylls = Fake

    Survivorman = Real

  • 32 years wow.

  • A lot of people forget that even though Bear Grylls is a SAS soldier he does have a crew, which probably includes a medic, right there with him so he is able to take the risks that he does but Les does not have that luxury since his support is probably a day or two away. Also Les looks like he is a soccer dad with no military training at all and since it is the people who don't have military training are the ones getting lost I will have to go with Survivorman being the better show.

  • I wish he explained some of the things he does in a bit more detail. I have never seen anyone start a fire that particular way and im not exactly sure what he is doing?

  • @morningstomper123 It's the same as a bow-drill but horizontal and without the bow. Wrap the cord around your stick and pull on both ends so it spins. There are many ways of doing this but I imagine he has another piece of wood on top of one end of his spinning stick which he applies small pressure to using his foot, his other foot will be as a stopper for the end of the spinner to keep it in place. Simples.

  • fuck what all you say, survivor man freaking rocks..now all we need is survivorwoman!

  • adorei muito legal

  • I don't know why Les intentionally puts himself in unnecessary risk and suffering. such as drinking from presumed clean stream that probably later gave him the runs and not elevating himself off the ground putting himself at risk of getting stung by venomous insects and annoyed by others depriving him of sleep.

  • I hate how people always compare Stroud to Bear Grylls and Ray Mears. Bear Grylls is basically a survival stuntman who has a crew with him at all times. Ray Mears is an expert survivalist and bushcraftsman, but he too also always has a truckload of tools with him as well as a crew.

Les Stroud is an expert survivalist who lives off the land for almost a week at a time by himself. He doesn't try and glorify it or make himself look good, he openly admits his pains and doubts. This is real tv.

  • the fact that you went there ...Kudos Dude...i have seen all your vids...being sick completely sucks. You should do a new show where you have all the things you would like. Say I have everything but my truck broke down.....I have my truck and all my stuff.....all my stuff is ........................................

  • I love bear, he is a fucking machine!!!

  • he died to a disease he got in new guinea!!??!! no wai!

  • LES IS A LEGIT MOTHERFUCKER! :]

  • I think he had taken the Survivorman idea about as far as he wanted and wanted to develop new show ideas. He had been to about every type of terrain, desert, ocean, swamp, forrest, arctic, etc. If he had kept doing this show he would have started repeating himself. The real question is how much control he has over the production of his new shows and if he gets final cut as they say. There are some really reality TV shows out there and I think he wants to move in that direction.

  • good point Dafidd. Utube has been taken over by 12yr olds in the comments section.

  • its good one thing about it though you spelt it worng

  • children children! stop this bitching!

i know and "like" both shows, one is of a person showing you how to get out of situations, the other is a person atatched to safety harnesses with a camera crew behind him....now...would anyone like some waffles?

  • @Dafidd ME ME I WANT

  • @Dafidd Thanks for the videos!

  • @Dafidd LOL you're so level headed. i commend you

  • @Dafidd i would like waffles and more episodes please

  • @Dafidd lol!!!

  • @Dafidd Year-old waffles? Yes please.

  • @Dafidd Can i have a cookie?

  • Comment removed

  • @Dafidd .. may i have a waffle, please?

  • @Dafidd Haha, well said.

Don't know why people feel this constant need to compare the two shows. We all know both are awesome, enough said.

  • thanks for the upload..super clear

  • Yah thanks, I got that after watching for a while. I retract the earlier comment...

  • @terrance217 he says he probably got it from the village water, he trained with them for a week before he did the show

  • it would be funny to see him on survivor

  • this invorement demands effort

  • his voice overs are a tadd annoying, its all about Ray he would have had hot running water haha

  • nice machetti

  • aww whyd les stop making shows ?

  • he said filming each episode takes a physical toll on him. a more accurate discription is down in the comments

  • @CallMeAndyx3 He stopped making them, because he reported that it was too stressful on his mind and body, apparently there were a lot of close calls where his crew could not get to him in time. He has a phone that he can use to call them at any given time if the conditions get too horrible or he wants to back out.. but when they cant get to him.. that means danger... but yeah, he did 3 years of this stuff.. trying to survive.. he probably just wanted a break!

  • Can I take issue with his commentary and say that the region is "unexplored", people live there, people who know the jungle well.

What he really means is, 'not mapped by occidentals', it's been discovered (about 40,000 years ago) and very well explored, just not by the dominant culture.

  • at the beginning he has a crew, and that's when they hair person would come in handy, when he's alone he's alone.

  • Maybe she just spat on his head and rubbed it with some bark?

  • Mark this video down so Youtube won't catch it.

  • why?

  • Les is cool. Have you seen his show about living off the grid? Very interesting.

  • Was it His Imperial Majesty Haille Selasie I, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah?

  • ty so much for uploading this been waiting fir awhile :D too bad hes not making anymore survivorman

  • He's not, really?

  • really? when did he say this? it's no wonder they only show re-runs now.

  • good feed back thanks to all

  • just me or do the hills from the helicopter look like weed nugs?

  • Oh god yes! I've been waiting to see this episode for such a long time :'D tears of joy! thank you

  • Is there going to be a 4th season?

  • unfortunaltly not of survivorman, but apparently he's in the works for another set of shows, if i can get a hold of them ill put them up

  • @Dafidd You should try and get episodes of his new show Survive This!

  • @SniperViper1000 i did look into it, manadged to get hold of 2-3 episodes, didn't really like it...the new show reminds me of those "survival" series with celebreties

  • @Dafidd Upload anyway.

    Checked The Pirate Bay?

  • @SniperViper1000 o no look into Beyond Survival with Les Stroud

  • No, but according to Wikipedia, quote:

"Stroud stopped filming Survivorman after the third season due to what he described as the significant physical toll of filming each episode but now stars in the show Survive This, where groups of teens are challenged with the same struggles of survival that Les himself faced."

    That help?

  • Yup, thanks.

  • great vid, fantastic quality
