@InvaderWakkoReborn Christians wanted to make converting into Chistianity easy for the groups they converted. Therefore they took the celebrations of other places and took them for themselves. If you are talking about the name, then that is because they changed the name to give it more sense in the new context. In Norwegian, we still use the word "jul" for Christmas, which is the name of the old celebration of the sun's coming.
