Bob Corker is asked a Hard Question

How was Tennessee forced to ratify the 16th amendment? They ratified April 11th 1911.....also the civil war amendments abolished slavery and discrimination against black people. She wants these repeal? Or go back to the beautiful: blacks are 3/5 of a human being with no rights to vote, and ability to sell them! Not exactly a perfect document darling.

Creating Drama ? is not important to uphold the Constitution ? I have read a small amout compared to the lady in the video I can see there are questions and answer's to the questions she raised. Research what is said in this video it is not drama wanting nothing more then our Constitution retored as intended Founding Fathers . Bob Corker is a smart man but his politics has helped aid more big Government , 9 out 10 times he does not vote the will of the people , We are the leadership not Corker

Creating drama in town hall meetings is easy. Why doesn't this woman run for office to make a difference (like Bob did) or does she just like the drama. Bob Corker is a good man and very smart. I'll trust his leadership over grandstanding people at town hall meetings.

@ArtisanTony ; Little Bob represents this lady. He works for her, Is it to much to ask your representative that took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution, if he knows what's in it? Little Bob left Chattanoogans holding the bag with all the downtown debt, the taxes downtown Chattanooga generates won't pay the interest on the loans. Our property is not worth the tax assessment .

@brainerdrebel You are right. He was elected by the people in his district. It sounds like you have a beef with him personally. That is between you and him. At the moment there is not much property worth a whole lot because of the market. The price of housing has more to do with this more to do with the market as a whole not some issue you have with Bob Corker. I am in the housing business so I know enough to know this anyway.

@ArtisanTony ; I have a beef with the bureaucracy that Corker represents. Taxing people to develop and promote his interests. Tax and Spend; I don't need government to do anything but the essentials, fire, police, etc.

I am also in Real Estate, I have commercial property and residential properties. Hamilton County intentionally over appraised property values, it keep taxes high,

@brainerdrebel I am surprised to hear your take on the difference between liberals and conservatives. The difference is night and day. Maybe you meant to say between politicians. I have lived in Chattanooga all of my life. I remember driving with my parents downtown when I was a child seeing the smog and filth. The people you speak of helped transform our city. Who cares if they made money along the way. I see your attitude a lot on the internet and in real life mostly bitter people.

What impresses me about a man is one who is secure in himself and not envious or hateful of other men. You can own property but you cannot own the right to force your will on others. You own everything but you own nothing. When you can allow others to live their lives without envy or hate then you own something. There are no taxes due on what I own. :)

The Fair Tax and abolishing the IRS will be a good start :) I am sure the Cayman Islands will be nice but this is my home and I feel I have to try to make it better. I hope the Cayman Islands are more up to date than St Lucia. My partner and I are working on a mission project there helping out a family with a biodigester, They use animal waste to make methane gas for cooking. Peace!

She put REPUBLICANS in jail for over taxing the Alaskans and playing "buddy-buddy" with the oil companies. We are not a country or a nation, we are a federation of free, sovereign and independent states, a Union. All governors should force the federal government to respect the 9th, 10th and 11th amendments to our Constitution.

The main problem is that the 16th amendment was the tax issue. The SCOTUS has ruled that the ammendment did not have any authority to tax one's labor (wages), but was meant for corporations and oher taxable entities. Still, the present court will not rule or even entertain the issue. While I think Sen. Corker is not a bad senator, he is sidestepping this one.

The young lady is fully aware that the Bill of Rights applies to the states through the 14th. Nevertheless, the 14th was signed under duress by several of the southern states occupied by Union forces.

Until adoption of the 14th, sovereigns were citizens only of their respective states, the states being regarded as NATION states. The 14th did make we sovereigns citizens of the United States as well...a federal corporation located within the District of Columbia!

The woman mentions how great the bill of rights is - which it is - but doesnt mention or seem to notice that it was only through the 14th and incorporation therein that the bill of rights was applied to state law.

So is the question or point that we should not have ratified the 14th amendment? Or even worse, we should now act as if the 14th amendment ratified back in 1868 wasnt really ratified?

Here's the problem with the question - SCOTUS will rule on the validity of that point or not. If SCOTUS says the 14th is part of the constitution, you cant get a Senator to undo it. And it would be pretty danged unpopular to go after the 14th.
