  • The high strings brought chills to my spine. So sad, inspiring, homely and melancholic. And that melody and progression is real good too.

  • fucking recorded with a potato yet why is it like looking at jesus through audio FFS

  • That was an absolute dream to hear:) I so wish I could improvise like you some day!

  • i don´t have the words..........emotive song!!!! Pablo from Argentine!!!

  • Oh, this music make something magic, it recalled me the gratest moments of my life. Listening to it, I even tears.

(Sorry for mistakes, I'm too bad in English)

  • @jillbert459 Wow, thanks a lot!

  • This is beautiful i wish i could play this song. i tried just now. FAIL. But you are amazing...<3

  • @mctechno1234 Thank you a lot!

  • This is great!!!

  • have you the TRANSPOSE? why?

  • @pianistaccanito I love transposing when I play! Either to get a nicely deep sound or to have a more high-pitched sound. Each one has its charm. :-)

  • how can someone dislike this...they must have a concussion.

  • This is really improvising? You just sat down and started playing, and this is what came up? Incredible. It's almost like you wrote this before and now you're trying to fool us all :P (just kdding, you did a great job)

  • @LeonR1993 Well, it's improvising in a way. Like the description says, the song is based on a real song. But I'm playing it by heart and doing things that aren't there normally. So I would still call it improvising! :-)

  • @HerrPi Ok then. Well, I think you did a great job. But why don't you play on a real piano? Or do you prefer an electric one? Because you can edit the sounds and equalizers, like you say in the description? I myself think accoustic piano's sound way better, you should try it sometime, see what you like best.

  • hey this is amazing!! Would i be able to use this for a song i am producing for a close friend? its nothing big, he just has singing vids up on YouTube, so no money will be made! But we will give you FULL credit for the piano :) sort of a colab? thanks :)

  • @OllieMcguigan1992 As I don't own the full rights on the song myself I think I can't give you the full rights either. Like the description says, this song is based on a real song by Marcel Zimmer. As for me, you can use the song for whatever you like! :-)

  • nice job, check out my improv :D

  • @klevazzz I updated the description, have a look! You'll find everything there, I hope! :-)

  • its an existing song

  • If you do a midi file I'd love it too! Your amazing!

  • @jabar94 I updated the description, have a look! You'll find everything there, I hope! :-)

  • bonjour a tous aller visiter ma chaine je fait du piano aussi mais je ne suis pas tres connu j'aimerai faire ma carriere dans cette matiere jetez y un oeil merci mon nom est badboy99976

  • @clarabells22 Wow, I'm without words, thanks! :-) A jam session - nice!

  • @klevazzz No, actually not. But I could of course create one by playing something very similar and send it to you. Shall I? Are there more people interested in this?

  • Man, All i can say is, WOW. i mean, dude ive sat down and ive learned this, note by note because its so good. Well done and thanks for hours of entertainment. Thumbs up man, from me, Good luck in the future.

  • @shoshyrox Thank you very much!!

  • nice

  • .....I have been blessed with perfect pitch, and the sounds are a half-step lower than what you were playing...any reason why?

  • @epicmusicz123 He might have transposed to a different key.

  • @epicmusicz123 The only reason I like to do that is that slightly lower chords sound better and fuller in my ears. That's all... :-)

  • Omg I love it!!! Great work.

  • very nice

  • it's unbelievable that something so easy can be beautiful like you did. a kind of silent peace. one of the best i heard - great job !!!

  • great work man i love your melodic sense keep on !!!!! fabulous!!!!!

  • this music must have came down from heaven

  • i love that keyboard !!! i want 1

  • youre*

  • i like the piano sound your getting. not a huge fan of the repetitive chord progression though. try to vary some of your material, that should make it more interesting and should give you a larger palette for expression. keep it up though!

  • The 2 People That Dont Like This Doesn't Have A Soul At All! :)

  • beautiful song :)

  • @emielminnee No, this is not Light of the World. This is the dutch song "Aan uw voeten, Heer" - this was already earlier said in comments.

  • @emielminnee No, this is not Light of the World. This is the dutch song "Aan uw voeten, Heer" - this was already earlier said in comments.

  • dude ur piano is in a different tuning.

  • @pianoswag Yeah man, good thinking! :-) Indeed, I tuned up my Piano several semi-tones... So what?! :-)

  • @HerrPi haha genius, I was trying to figure it out by ear, but it sounded different so i was like what???? haha. but it sounds great!!! i subcribed :)

  • hey wat are the base chords in the left hand at the begining of the strings part, sounds great man. keep it up. imma subscribe

  • @pianoswag The main scheme is a minor, G major, C major with an E in the bass and F major. But of course, don't forget that everything is some semi-tones higher...

  • HolyShit!! This is so Beautiful..!

    OMFG!!

  • @sophia7054 Thanks!

  • (das kommt mir bekannt for [German]) I think i hear this, its not 100% ur improv or?^^

  • @InDubioProMe1 No, as it has already earlier been said, this is based on a dutch worship song called "Aan uw voeten, Heer".

  • @HerrPi

    ah ok :)

  • Not bad, but I recommend using the piano more dynamically and creatively because I have heard this before. Make it you and not influences of other songs. The piano gives you that power.

  • Umh, sorry to disturb: I've written user id and password to open your download page, but I can't entry and download...what has gone wrong?!

  • What the hell!?!? How did you do it? It is really hard to believe that this is an impro. Your musica are really wonderful. I am going to download ALL your files posted on internet. I play the piano too, but not so, even because I never have time: the study is always behind the corner. COngratulation!

  • @nicksparco Wow, thank you!

  • schön gemacht

  • i like this Improvisation

    This improvisation Great !!!

  • - Interesting is not only Roland RD-700, but HIS SONG so fantasic. Melodic harmony is beautiful. - THIS IS AN MUSICAL TALLENT. and THIS IS WHY I BELIEVE THE UNDERGROUND MUSIC IS FULL of SURPIRSE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC.

  • Amazing!

  • Intro is 10 stars.

  • its nice! :)

    i like improvisation! :D

  • Excelente man!

  • it is very dreamly and soo lovly!!!

    *dream*

  • Wow that was great!

  • wow

  • eso no es una improvisación pero bien igual

  • must you really? WHY?

  • thats a dutch worship song

  • @l0wd3f3nc3 Whats the title in english? God bless

  • i dont know if this worship song is english too but the dutch version is ''aan uw voeten heer''

  • thank you so much. What an inspiring tune.

  • why use transposer?

  • Very nice !!!

  • Influenced by Eric Johnson? Saw the book by the way.:) Really beautiful though.

  • Cool improv nice tune ..... still learning how to do improv getting there slowly

  • it makes smile xD

  • that´s excellent, really good!!!

  • what piano did you used for that?

  • whats the name of the song??

  • i'm guessing he made it on the spot

  • Aan uw voeten heer. As far as I'm aware!

  • Well played 5*****

    Roman

  • this is fucking beautifull !!!!!

  • Ja ......

Jetzt bin ich richtig platt !

    :-()

  • I wish I could play that way, but my both hands will always do the same rhytm.

  • Let your mind take over, not your hands =)

  • sounds like somethign you would hear on a save the whales commercial. hahaha

  • Have you a accords or notes of your pretty song

  • I'm going to try and learn this...then notate it! I can send you the file Herr. Its just so pretty!!

  • i LOVE this. if you made a cd with stuff like this on it, i would definitely buy it. could i ask what inspired this piece?

  • Thanks! Hey, I actually made 3 cd's with such stuff on it! Just read the description of this video to the upper right and you should find the information to download my cd's!!

They're just a bit more bluesy but I hope you'll like them!

More cd's are still to come!!!

I was inspired by a dutch kind of gospel song called "Aan uw voeten Heer". Has been discussed earlier here in the comments...

  • @HerrPi lol you weren't inspired u just played the song :) just kidding. Anyway thanks so much for this video.

  • 1:30-1:40 is great!

  • nice!!

  • That was lovely. I have a new RD-700GX and I love it. Does the SX have ivory-feel keys? usb port? just wondering what the difference is, thanks.

  • no the SX don't have the ivory-feel and the GX is new grand piano sound!

  • Please tell me, korg sg pro-x is good piano? wath is better to choose between sg-prox and Kurzweil sp 2x. Please help me

  • Kurzweil, or the piano that has the best feeling in the keys.... For sound i prefer original sampled grand pianos like Bechstein, Steinway or my absolute fav Bosendorfer.. amazing piano.

  • what a fantastic sound. right now I'm looking to buy a digital piano but this has to be the best sounding digital piano on youtube. And you are a magnificent player!

  • comment tu t'es enregistrai? directement via ordinateur ou un micro ou bien un bon camescope numérique?

  • Ok, I hope you don't mind me writing back in English... :-)

I recorded the piano via its line-outs which go directly into my Yamaha mixer. This mixer, of course, does into the line-in of my soundcard!

I guess a microphone of a camera cannot achieve such good results as a direct recording...

  • your improvisation is very good and beautiful! and i a french, i don't have a good english

  • The Roland RD700 is a great keyboard. Macnífico!!!

  • Great performance!

The song itself is called 'Aan uw voeten Heer is de hoogste plaats' by Marcel Zimmer (Dutch Worship singer and songwriter)

  • Yep, right! :-)

  • of cours, but you are to record with midi or jack? You have a software special for? And how it is made that the sound is so pure, because I in jack I have song of bottom, or noise and the sound is very weak for not not saturated height speakers ( mi english is very bad )

  • Great improv! Awesome!

  • Nice Improvisation,and nice play.

This sound makes me hugged by something-great.

I do want to play this song,so please let me know score if you do not mind.

  • very good piano intro

    I suggest:

    never use solo strings...

    ANTARES prod.

  • This is beautiful...

    Question:

Are the keys are to press down on?

I want to get one of those Roland electric pianos but I don't like the feel of soft keys.

  • It's like god blessed your playing here. This isn't quite of this earth. :o)

  • I think nobody can see your video and remain shutted up. You sound really excellent!

    Very, very good playing..

  • Great playing, great improvisation. May I ask what amplifier or monitor speakers your are using? Thanks

  • Thanks!

Well, for this recording I just used a mixer and my pc, this is nothing with speakers and so.

But usually I use the Yamaha Stagepas 300 pa system to amplify my Roland piano. And I find it sounds great!!

  • thank you sir, i now have copied your EQ settings on my clavinova, the grand piano sample sounds much brighter now :)

    thanks again :D

  • Ok, great!!

  • Ok awesomeness :-)

Sounds pretty much the same now, thx for editing description.

  • Very cool!!

  • Yes, I would also like to know how you tweaked the sound of the piano. It just.. sounds professional, like in CD Albums.

It has that "stage" reverb feel. My clavinova has a lot of settings but I don't know where to start and I am confused.

I appreciate your help sir, as well as others. :)

    Thanks everyone.

  • Thanks for your comment!

I added some lines about what you and your predecessor wanted to know to the description field on the right to the video!

I hope that's what you wanted to know! ;-)

    Have fun!!

  • Hey, nice sound, I have exactly the same piano.

And I was wondering if you could tell me what exactly did u tweak in the equalizer (like the low, mid and high gain and the mid frequency)?

Or is it too much to explain? :p

  • Hey there!

Have a look at the description of the video. I added some information for you and the others who wanted to know how I tuned my sound... ;-)

  • That's brilliant mate <3.

  • Great playing sir, excellent! :)

Though I have a question, your digital piano really sounds nice and I am planning to buy a digital piano soon. May I ask, does your Roland grand piano patch sound like that by default? It sounds echoey and bright and I really really love it! Or did you had to configure the settings a bit?

The reason for asking this is that because I'm purchasing a Yamaha and I really like your piano tone for some reason. :)

  • The Roland doesn't sound exactly like this. I did some changes with the equalizer and the touch response settings.

I've had a Yamaha P-120 for many years before I bought the Roland and it was really a great step to change from Yamaha to Roland for me! And not an easy one! I also love the touch and sound of Yamaha keys!!

I would very much recommend to just look for a store which has some of the most popular pianos standing around, to try them out and just to play around with the settings!

  • I'm glad to hear it, I just purchased a Yamaha Clavinova CVP-401 and it's arriving tomorrow! :)

  • Great work. Keep on playing, you're doing really good jobs!

  • Like after Yanni, I feel like I'm going to vomit ... Playing OK, Composition ~ 2nd year Piano Student class. Wow I found three chords that sond cool, now lets make an Infomercial!

  • You Don't get the point...

MAYBE you are good...but then enjoy this video and be happy because you can do better "jobs"...

Dont hurt people with your stupid childish...

  • Is there an English version of this song? I cannot find any sheet music for "Aan uw voeten, Heer"

  • No the song does only exist in dutch

  • do you mind passing me the chords of this song please!!! :(

  • omg

  • sehr schön

  • That was beautiful playing. I didn't think the sound quality was bad at all either. I love the sounds of the RD-300/700SX and am hopefully going to try the 300 out in a store today.

  • beautiful.

  • amazing, always wanted to learn piano and i think this has just inspired me to actually go out and learn it =] thanks

  • Yeah, it's indeed "Aan uw voeten, Heer"! :-)

  • No, it's not Light Of The World, I think!

  • what's the name of this song???

  • its not how much it cost its how much you practice

  • Ich frag mich echt wie man so was nur hin bekommt.....

  • Ich spiele auf einem FP7. Diese Improvisation ist einfach genial. Wunderschöne Melodie! Weiter so!

  • dang. I would have wanted heavier keys. " more realistic "

(lol , I haven't never even played a real piano.)

but this roland sounds so good!!

I bought last year casio's "Digital piano " Which ONLY had 3 differend piano sounds and they weren't even good. and it cost 699 €!!

so I wan't good " digital piano / keyboard with heavy keys" which have alot of piano sounds to choose from!

  • Does the Keys feel good?

  • Well... yeah! If you compare them to Yamaha keys, say P-250, they are much lighter and easier to press. But this does not necessarily have to be good! I like them even though I had to get used to them...

  • Thx for your help. and sry to fill your commentary with my comments.

  • *sry for filling previous setence..(typo)

  • at LAST! I thought there weren't any videos of RD 700 piano sounds...everyone posts other stupid sounds. I was going to buy Roland RD 300 GX. Do you know does only difference to 700 that theres 10 organ sounds less?

  • No, I think there a some more differences! I'll write you a msg with a few links. If someone else is interested, just write me a msg...

  • my e-mail sunmax@luukku. C:.:.:.:O:.:.:.:M

  • ahsdfkjad please foward me that email! im struggling to choose between the 300gx and the 300sx as well as the 700

  • cool

  • beautiful piece of music .. I enjoyed it very much !

  • Sehr schön - nicely played :). Spiele selbst auf Roland Piano's. Eine beeindruckende Demonstation. Schöne Melodie ebenfalls - werde ich mir auch aneignen :)

  • that was a semi tone lower.hahahaha, i have perfect pitch!!!cheating!!!!!

  • that was pure class!!

  • Hi HerrPi,

Even in het nederlands voor de fun....wat een geweldig nummer is dat zeg. Ik heb de bladmuziek gezocht op internet van dit nummer "aan uw voeten heer" maar is niet te vinden.

maar goed.......YOU'RE GOOD AND AN INSPIRATION FOR ME TO LEARN TO PLAY THE PIANO.

    Ga zo door !!!

  • What song is that? also what kind of roland is it?

  • are you completely stupid?

  • Hey, I don't see any reason to react like that! :-/
