  • who is this guy? i"d like to see more vids

  • reminds me of lei wulong from tekken XD

  • i told my dad that i wanted to learn the drunken fist in cases like a fight in bars :) not abusing it, but for self-defense.

from my studies of martial arts, in china, a good or great ninja won't leave foot prints even in snow

  • @Saikejo the hell are you talking about? ninjas haven't been around for a long time, and the only way possible to not leave footprints in fresh snow is if its solidly packed together. for that matter, how often did it ever snow in the regions ninjas hailed from anyways?

  • @WarDevil1337 i'm not talking about japanese ninjas, i'm talking about chinese. i was told that they would go and steal from the king's kingdom and the most skilled ones wouldn't leave even their foot prints in snow from a special way of running/walking

  • comoo se llama este programaa.?'

  • Im doin drunken style kung fu :)) it's really funny, when I use those techniques i feel really "balanced" and smooth. The attacks are very strong, this style of Martial Arts is pretty hard to learn tho. But when you're good at Drunken style of kung fu, you will be able to strike ur enemies in no time. :D good luck learning this style of kung fu :D

  • @LoveDJCammy can you post learning videos i realy want to lean at least the basics teach me plz

  • @supersaiyajinn Maybe i will post some own videos where i can teach you :)

  • is that jackie chan?

  • It actual does confuse your fighter lol

  • I met a ex us soldier that practiced that win chun stuff, there was no way of me touching him no matter how fast i tried & he had counter attacks with his whole body it was ridiculous, i believe martial arts is real now.

  • @whitecastle323 Cool

  • Woooooooo ! Finally someone added it again <3 NG ordered to delete previous one because of copyrights -_-' I dreamed to see this vid again xD thanx for sharing <3 Drunken Master FTW ! HO !

  • this is fucking retarded. When hes on the ground pretending to be drunk its a 3 second count before he manages to get up and throw those stupid wrists snaps he calls punches. In a street fight somebody is going to kick you in less than 3 secs gauranteed, or there going to pounce on your ass before you manage to get your whole body up and just put his body weight on you, from there hes going to proceed to kill you. Your better off learning combat Sambo, Krav Maga, Boxing, or Muai Thai

  • @Dartha999 It's the fighter that defines the style not the other way around. Nice try, troll.

  • @justjacjab nice try what? how am I trolling? Thats what people who have never gotten the shit beat out of them always. "its the fighter that defines the style". True or not, This style is entirely useless in a real fight, it's impractical. You would get fucked up fast if you tried this shit in a real fight. Notice how martial arts experts never fight anyone who fights different styles? Most of the time they don't fight anyone at all, they just assume that there deadly.

  • @Dartha999 My friend and I free spar often. He uses regular boxing and judo mixed while I basically try to stay alive. A lot of the stuff I do is just a basic movement that deflects/parries his in coming strikes allowing me to follow up. A lot of the deflects are just the "stirring" of the hands that you see in Drunken forms. The style can work in a fight, but it won't look 100% like it does when just performing the style. This is true for many of the Chinese Martial Arts styles.

  • @Dartha999 Sambo, Krav Maga and boxing all might assist you in a bar fight. but let us not forget martial arts is not just fighting, its also learning and training. It takes discipline to master many styles of martial arts. As a student of tae kwon do, judo, aikido, arnis and currently learning bits and peices of jiu jitsu from my cousin who is an ex soldier wounded in iraq i wont claim i am deadly, just ready. theres more than meets the eye to these styles. Also this is the wushu variant of it.

  • '' I can do that'' xD

  • wie wasser

  • he reminds me of the drunk guy in mortal kombat

  • well i'd say the best fighters can fight blindfold and drunken at the same time if not only in a blindfold

  • my understanding was that you don't do this style drunk--you act like you're drunk. anyhow, one of my teachers said it's a good form and hard to do. (we do choy lay fut, and don't respect a whole lot of other forms aside from tai chi...so it's quite a compliment.) still i like mantis, crane (and monkey, for sheer entertainment). kudos.

  • lol at some of the moves like when he mimmicks drinking a bottle try that in the ring

  • lol why do you think they don't put drunken boxing in an MMA ring? you know why? CAUSE THEY'LL GET RAPED IN A MMA CAGE!

  • i saw this actual video somewhere on youtube before!

  • i saw it on NGC the day it premiered the first time it was unbelievable but it was real because it was captured by sensors and was calculated and saved on computers

    outstanding!

  • this is fight science i got the dvd its a must have!

  • lol whoever said i can do that in video good luck :P

  • This is awesome ! I would love to see it in the octagon :D

  • impressive enough but doesn't look too convincing.. lets see how this style apply in the octagon

  • he would win in limbo thumb up when u think the same

  • fucken matrix guy

  • is eassy to fight with the air

  • thats bad as i wouldnt mind practicing that style of fighting

and no they dont do it drunk they mimick like what penguinwar said helps you to fight better off balance so when people hit you has no effect on your balance as your are good fighting with no balance cause they strike off balance anyway.

  • jackie chan!!!

  • you cant be wasted wile doing this just buzzed people

  • actually drunken boxing is more effective while drunk. obviously ur average joe isnt gonna get drunk and turn into superman, but sumone who has mastered the technique not only is going to excel while sober, but lose all sympathy toward ur well being while drunk. jackie chan's legend of drunken master literally is what it would be liketo fight in this styl while drunk. minus the obvious choreography. he was good sober, but better drunk.

  • Too bad it's just that: a legend. You can't honestly believe that fighting drunk, and maintaining the highest standard of balance of practically any other style of martial art, is possible. You can't retain anything while drunk, so you can't possibly practice it and actually learn anything. This man obviously is a master of this style, otherwise he wouldn't be here on this show. Does he look drunk? Go find your nearest martial arts expert and ask them what would happen if they fought while drunk

  • @PaganWarDrummer you are not technically drunk... you dont drink anything while fighting in this form this is just a technique that martial artists use to confuse thier opponents since they LOOK drunk because of thier flexible movement sbut are not actually drunk

  • @dinkay17

That's exactly what I've been saying. The argument against mine was that you are actually drunk from alcohol, which is not true. What you just said, and what I have been saying, are correct.

  • @PaganWarDrummer i can play guitar drunk... cause i practice alot.. so if you practice this kung fu well i am sure you will be able to fight drunk cause its musle memory and natural reflex

  • Playing an instrument is a bit different than using your body's abilities at their full physical capacity. I understand what you're saying, I can play my instrument drunk as well. However, the idea of taking it further is just misguided. My previous points still stand: it cannot be done.

  • 2:04 O.o wtf!

  • somebody please tell me are you actually drunk when you do this?

  • not unless you want to be. personally i wouldnt advise it.

  • no, you just mimic the idea of being drunk. Although I've heard of some people or train drunk. They figure if they ever fight they'll be drunk. So...train drunk lol. I don't since I don't drink to begin with anyway lol

  • Absolutely not. That's a really good way to get your ass handed to you. You need to be at the highest point of alertness, focus, and balance. You can't actually be drunk during a fight. You'd fail, pure and simple.

  • You wouldn't fail.

    you would EPIC fail.

  • You do not need to, This type of style is suggested to be drunk if you listen in the video the alchohol helps to eeze the pain being drunk may also release your anger.

  • Lies! It's physically impossible to do any of this while drunk.

  • No it is not, Listen to the video. Study up on drunken boxing.

  • Where does it say that being drunk helps you? Is this guy drunk while doing the style? No. A little eccentric, but not drunk.

  • "alcohol is a depressin, you are more stable when drunk"

Are you deaf or just stupid?

  • "Alcohol is a depressant, relaxing the body's systems and loosening the muscles. Mimicking this relaxed state actually provides better balance in a fight." The exact words from the video.

Mimicking being drunk provides better balance, not actually being drunk. It doesn't make any sense that being drunk would improve your physical aspects in a fight. Think about it, really.

So, I ask you now: are you deaf, or just stupid?

  • @PaganWarDrummer the drunken fist can be used when you are drunk, ...

    muay thay can not

  • @PaganWarDrummer dude if u act drunk it wouldnt work well but your still doing the style but if your drunk it just give you a boost okay u understand now

  • thats what its saying

  • That's what what is saying?

  • what show is this?

  • Fight Science.

  • best style of mix of kung fu, its all about tricking the other, and out of sight of the eyes ,as not to get hit by the others, its all ways best stay on the move, its like the sniper if you in the same place, he she has a hit, random moves to keep you out of the eyes of others who attack.

  • zui quan is a great and if used correctly, one of the greatest styles.

  • drunken style is the greatest and unfortunately most difficult martial art (to learn and master) ever made. it's best to learn at least 4 martial art styles including western BOXING (pugilism) in order to learn drunkard BOXING. then incorporate surprise attacks from other arts like muay thai's spinning backfist or tkd's tornado kick and switch around aikido and fencing footworks. to pull off self defense police moves in aikido mode and then quit stumbling and go western box/fencing on their face

  • i disagree, drunken boxing is my favorite martial arts style of all, but i don't think it's the best, and two, drunken boxing is nothing at all like western boxing, in fact if anything, it's almost the opposite of it, you don't even hit w. you knuckles too much in zui quan instead you it with your wrists a lot more.

  • i can hit with both, zui quan is more effective is you are as experienced with backfists as you are with regular fist strikes. well that's my opinion. i think zui quan is not a style per se but a doctrine much like bruce lee's own jeet kune do. it's even good to embrace other styles as long as you keep the goal of confusing the enemy in mind. i've managed to make a whole lot of sense from zui quan videos and the teachings i get from an instructor in brazil when i see other martial arts

  • in fact when you have to test out zui quan in the real world you'd better have some background in more competitive combat sport like boxing and the likes. trust me and my internet friend agrees with me he's an instructor, you have to draw parallels to the mainstream sports too

  • and also trust me about this: not everything about zui quan is legitimate and effective martial arts. there's a percentage of it which it's just crap you got to see through it. it has been deformed into a dance throughout the centuries so you have to learn to extrapolate real lessons from the hints in the dancing

  • it's not dancing it's the excercise form of the style. it's not easy to find the martial version of it because poeple always show off the excercise style instead.

  • your right,

got any good sources for learning drnken fst?

  • i have a sensei who knows kung fu but not zui quan directly. he teaches me about wushu and i extrapolate it to encompass what i need to learn about zui quan. if i could, i would go to brasil and train with username: sipak, he is a real zui quan sensei!

  • Original Zui Quan can only be learned in China

  • Not true. The Boston Kung Fu and Tai Chi Institute teaches "Drunken Fist" in a traditional and a wushu way. Also, Sifu Shi Yan Ming of New York most obviously knows the style, so I'm sure his advanced students are taught this style as well.

  • Drunken boxing was so cool I wanted to learn it, I saw it used in real combat and just went for judo. JUDO IS AWESOME!

  • umm... okay, that's nice judo's pretty good and all but what does it have to do with you liking drunken fist?

  • lol for real

  • i was being sarcastic! i pratcice drunken style. we the most of the movemnts were for close quaters.

  • It looks beautiful!

  • I learned it with training guides and watching several drunken forms, it's really fn =D.

  • my sir is teachi me this

im learnin tai kwon do tai chi woo shoo n this drunken

  • im very sure your not learning any of those, as you spelt only 'Tai Chi' correct and not even in its full name.

    Its Wu Shu you idiot.

and 'your sir' ... you mean Sensei?...

  • ... the sound goes off halfway through :P

  • lol

  • yea i d0 this d0wn the pub evry week end^^

  • hahahaha nice one

  • try to remember that martial arts are designed for balance and a sense of achieving something not so you can be a show off

  • i wanna learn it =o

  • I love drunken style of martial arts or some sort...I always admired it

  • @drkaznruler if i ever learn a martial art, i'm totally learning drunken style

  • the drunken style is hard..

you need a perfect balance in your body...

not easy if you think so..

balance is in capoeira and in drunken style..

  • capoeria is danceish, balance is key

  • crane flying over water...then a vietnamiese head blow saigon tyger wiould kik his ass

  • the drunken guy is the real deal. must people don;t know how to use drunken form as a fighting art.

you can see how he generates power!

  • yes well, u apparently cannot see he is a modern wushu artist, not a combatant. all the kung fu he knows is for show. the drunken style he does shows that he doesn't know real drunken style. a person who uses drunken style doesn't use movements as exaggerated as he does. u should rather be able to see how he DOESN't generate power-but it doesn't really matter since few ppl will ever use drunken style to "generate power."

  • thank you for saying it :)

Happy to see there is still people who can see properly even on the internet.

  • that chinese kunfu uniform looks sweet!!!

  • This is from a kickass special on National Geographic, called Fight Science...a good way to spend two hours.

  • This is not real drunken boxing, it is the wushu variation. Very acrobatic with lots of poses. The real style is a variation of some southern martial arts like Hung Gar and would actually be useful if you were drunk and in a fight.

  • Thats true, and I think your right its Hung Gar. I studied mainly the Tiger/Crane form, but there was a drunken style.

  • Finally some people who know what they are talking about, hah kiding not everyone is totally clueless, but you guys do have some background, yes the drunken style is a varrient of hung gar and other southern kung fu styles, featuring low stances and quick hand motions and low kicks(mostly, by no means totaly) this as you guys said a drunken style form of modern wushu, featuring very accrobatic showy motions and accrobatic stances

  • @sevenswordsrory well it's probably true that this is the modern wushu variant but the real drunken boxing doesn't need you to be drunk but to act like drunk.

  • A good reference: the Eight Drunken Gods. They mention it in Drunken Master.

  • thanks for the upload! very cool stuff

  • drunken style is beautiful, thanks for posting lucienus.

  • when i was watching that i couldnt believe how much TONS of force these guys put out.. 2-4 thousand pounds of force. or was it hundreds? crap i need to buy it and watch it again haha. still... they compared some of the knee hits and punches to car crashes.

  • i saw this on tv its called "the science of Fighting" or somthing like that

  • yes, I think that's the one, thank you for your contribution PestVic.

  • @PestVic fight science

  • @PestVic fight science? on natgeo

  • @PestVic it's called fight science

  • @PestVic

    The Human Weapon

  • MAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! Where can i get the full documentary? this is just what i'm looking for.

  • hello orionaz, this video belongs to the national geographic, they sell their videos online, only have to look for the one that has to to with the martial arts. I cant remember the title, sorry, I hope this help you somehow. cheers

  • one of the best here in youtube.. definately..

  • oooooooh fight science, this was a cool documentary :P

  • mechphantom, you sir, are also a retard

  • lol what did i do man? And 1 more thing retard is decelleration of speed lol ^_^ peace out man.

  • debateme911, your a retard

  • i like getting drunk and fighting people

  • I wanna now more about the Ninja stuff ^^

  • i'm adrunken boxer and i have to say it's nice to see something that doesn't insult my style and a video made with an experienced drunken boxer and not an amatuer the amaatuers getting on television is what ruined drunken boxing's reputation.

  • can any race,or religion learn kung fu or only chinese could learn this stuff?

  • of course!! all it takes is dedication, discipline, and, um, a body that is capable of moving around. oh yeah, and finding a good school always helps.

  • k thx man ^_^. But u noe why i ask this question because in my country there r many chinese n i heard that most of them r racist when a person forn another race come to learn wushu . but thx anyway ^_^

  • thx man lol i want to learn but what is ur age when u join wushu? Im 16 can i still join?

  • I just started a few months ago, my sifu started when he was 16 and he's won all sorts of national championships, other people start well into middle age; so yeah, as long as you can still move it's not too late to join.

  • k thx man

  • Cool Drunken style, that guy looks good.

  • Oh, that's the TV show of National Geographic about Martial Arts? Do you know where I can download the whole show?

  • yes, you are right. But if you go to the national geographic website maybe they have some videos, Sorry I cant help you.

  • I found it! Thank you a lot.

  • none of this should be practiced without a proper sifu fukdalaw.. and have fun trying to find one that teaches drunken boxing lol..

  • dude i tryed to do that, im not that bad at it, but i fucked my back up so bad moving around n falling, it hurts like shit. i need to learn how to stretch

  • it's too bad the audio/video was out of sync. and I think your camera was too close to the tv, that's why you get those black lines.

  • yeah, i am a begginer, sorry about that.
