Our football program is like your basketball program. We never put too much emphasis on it after Paul Bear Bryant left. Our last 10 win season was in 1977. Our program is a basketball state just like yours is a football state. Pretty fuckin simple, really.

LSU is by far the worst national champion of all time. They lost two games ( the only two loss champion ever? )and gave up 43 in one loss and 50 in the other. SWISS CHEESE DEFENSE, OVERRATED AND OVERHYPED TEAM.

defensively, yes. but not entirely no. though, i think the sec will be way down this coming year. die hard gator fan, but us and georgia are overated (top 5) and lsu is gonna have 4-5 losses. going back to the guy who made the comment about nfl vs. college (70-0), dont be such a closed mind dumb fuck. One thing that's always driven me nuts about college football is the preseason rankings. It almost "seeds" a team for the season, if you know what I mean. You can get a team that starts off vastly overrated (2005 USC ranked at #1), and a team that starts off underrated (2005 Penn State, completely unranked until taking ranked Minnesota to the woodshed). And with that, it kept teams like 2005 Penn State from at least finishing #2. But either way I'm excited about the 2008 season.

Also, I think in 2006 Boise State should have gotten a share of the national championship. Afterall, they did beat a talented Oklahoma team and were the only team to go undefeated that year.

lol wow i just watched that whole game again(most amazing game ever), coincidence. but no, they beat one team ranked in the top 25 that year, who was oklahoma and they only won by one point in overtime. unlike when USC and LSU shared the title, there is a clearly defined championship game, in which we spanked ohio state. we would have murdered boise if we played that year with that defense, probably shut them out (see UGA vs. Hawaii last year)

I'm not so sure. Boise State was a pretty good team, they blew out most of their competition, including over 70 points on San Jose State. I think it'd have been a close game. 2006 Boise State was impressive, but 2007 Hawaii just got lucky against a few teams to stay undefeated.
