You just take your battery out and keep pressing the on button for about 2 minutes repeatedly then it should work, while its booting tap f8 and reboot with last well known settings

To jaytul; Well I have been hearing this alot and this could be a range of problems, my advise is do some research on this problem and see what you find, ask a computer expert and find exactly what's wrong with it if you do this tell me what he/she says and I will tell you how to do what is needed, I will also do some research aswell to help you out, hope this helps!

There should be a read me txt file that should give that information after you unzip the file and put it on the usb. Some will use a separate pdf file that gives this instruction as well. I always recommend to connect laptops to an external monitor to do this in the event the black screen happens all the time, when it's booting hold F12 down to change the bios boot order to the usb flash drive.

you offer a fix for the aspire one, but its the computer you are using in the video (not the broken one) that I have the black screen on. The BIOS driver for the computer doesn't include a DOS_flash folder. Can you make a video for the other computer?

Try this procedure for your laptop but get your bios and drivers, first do what I did shown then put all drivers on USB and run them on your laptop, try it, not sure will work though, but it's worth trying

mine is completly black I dont even get the acer screen, when i power on the fan comes on and I can see the power led light, but the screen is completly black. I am working on this for a friend. and she sent me a new motherboard. ( she actually sent me two of these Acers and one the motheroard has already been replaced and it also still has the black screen at powerup. and again I dont get the bios window.

Aspire One's do become hot, not very hot though, if its becoming very hot clean all the vents, usually a vacuum or compressed air will work, and also before you turn off your netook, let it cool off for 5-10 minutes.
