I have one of these (16 GB). I have no issues with sound or volume (although I replaced the original headphones so that may be why?). It's also really easy to transfer music onto and off of the player(I only use mine for music).

On the bad side it has a known issue with stuttering on tracks (a software update was meant to fix this but it made no difference on mine) my mosaic is worse for this after adding music or being charged, and switching the player off and on again usually stops it.

I just bought one and i've something to say to all the potential buyers out there : stay away from this mp3 player. The sound quality is terrible (really terrible) and the highest level of the audio volume is still so low that it's often covered by any kind of outside noise.

The music files are sort by songname, so albums play in alphabetical order. Could they be sort by filename?

You need software called "Creative Central" and the songs must be properly tagged (artist, album, and of course - track number).

For anybody that wants to know, there is a very small reset button on the left side of the mozaic, so small that you pretty much have to be looking for it to be able to find it.

This happens sometimes on my Creative Zen. A reset usually fixes it. Maybe there is a reset button on the Mozaic as well?

how many hours of video can it hold? does it have a memory card slot?

Well it really depends on your video quality, but considering the screen size, it should be limited to watching MTV or short clips. And no it does not have memory card slot. If u need a player with SD slot, try the ZEN or ZEN X-Fi.
