Always remember watching this game and being SHOCKED at how the Tide dominated Miami after they had just squeaked past the Gators (28-21). Although as an FSU fan, I'm convinced my Noles were better than the Canes at the end of that '92 season, despite losing a close one to them earlier in the year. Later in the season, we put Charlie Ward in the shotgun and became unstoppable (beat UF 45-24). Impressive display by Bama although I always felt FSU vs. Bama would've been a lot more interesting.

Miami was outright BAD from 94 through 98 due to probation. Alabama has had two probations for violations invovling ONLY THREE PLAYERS that has cost them 60+ scholarships, being hit harder than any team in NCAA history all together over 3 friggin' kids. Bama had 10 win plus seasons (including the bowls) in 93, 94, 96, 99, 01, 05. They only have missed bowls in 97' and 00' and 03', the years they were in "the heart" of sanctions. Look for a decent year this year, and a great one next year

Mediocre to ridiculous? Alabama has never been mediocre. They have been subpar over last 8 years because of probation and poor coaching. The Alabama program is by far not mediocre or ridiculous and has never been. On a side note. The music is Kenny Wayne Shepperd. He is a blues/rock musician and a very good one. I actually thought the song was fitting for how the Alabama defence which was the best defence ever completely dominated the miami's unstoppable offence.
