I don't remember any part of the book saying that. Van Helsing cared about everyone and respected Mina very much for her bravery, knowledge, and strong will against evil (qualities she's missing in this version), but never like THAT. I see what they were trying to do here showing a different side, while making Dracula different too, but considering it claims to be more accurate I find that doesn't work for THIS version at least with Hopkins and not Liam Neeson as intended.
@92af Well, Exorcist might be scary for the first two times, but when u watch it over and over again, u get used to it. I don't think any of the two are scary, but they both handle their art and animation in a great way for their time. U know, realistic and atmospheric.
