To be honest I don't think that the rest of the girls didn't want Sarah in the band I think that they were just really surprised that Javine didn't get in the band because she was really good. But I wouldn't change the band. It's brilliant as it is!!

And I might be wrong, but I'm picking up on body language here that shows initially the other 4 members of Girls Aloud actually would have preferred Javine, from the looks on their faces etc. When Sarah congratulated people on the sofa they ignored here - Cheryl, for example, just walked off :P

I live in America, so please forgive my ignorance, but I had no idea Girls Aloud was formed on a reality competition. What year was this? Cheryl looks so much younger here. And for the record, I don't follow Girls Aloud at all (except for what I see on Perez Hilton) but I'm just starting to get into Cheryl Cole's music and do know that she came from Girls Aloud.

Yes they were, it was in 2002 and Girls Aloud are currently on a break and have been doing some solo stuff but they have signed a contract to record more stuff so they'll be back ;)

8 years on, it's honestly surprising what the future brought for these five gorgeous girls. They are amazing, and I truly think that the right girls really did make it through. These HBICs are eight years into the game. I hope that there are at least eight more to come.

I'm always shocked by the girls' reaction when Sarah gets through. I would've expected Nadine to be chuffed about it. There were rumours of her not getting along with Javine if I remember correctly, and she would've been her 'rival' to be considered 'the voice' of Girls Aloud.

Fair enough, everybody expected Javine to be in the band but they didn't have to ignore Sarah so coldly. But Sarah is a very nice girl and it's water under the bridge now.

Oh and Cheryl! I love her but what a chav she was.

1. GA are still 2gether they are on a break. And no it's not just Nadine's fault they aren't back 2gether yet, Cheryl is still recovering and she's also working on her 2nd album.

@wendersmac Well I wish I knew how good she was. Then maybe I could sympathize but I've never heard her sing. I'll look into that. I'd still think it would be a kick in the face even if Jevine did get in. People voted in. No matter who got in I don't think it was professional that the judges said that. It kind of makes it look like they don't think any of the girls should've gotten in. But I will look into Jevine's music and check her out for myself.
