@Turboprops - that largely depends on you, who you're working (if anyone), and how much you're willing to put up with... if you are working under someone else, you may have to deal with things like this.. However if you work for yourself, you have no buffer between you and nasty clients (in other words, if a client refuses to pay or something to that effect, you'll have to handle it yourself instead of having someone to do it for you)...
@Turboprops - (Continued) Also, it helps to be able to make assessments about clients beforehand. If you set your prices in the average range (or towards the high end) you'll filter out most time wasting clients, however if you do sense that a client will be too much trouble, then you can high ball an estimate to deter them without actually saying you think they're a pain in the neck.
