The Victoria Theory does not make any sense, she is a baker, she went to a BAKING CLASS in GERMANY and not an ECONOMICS class in New York, she couldnt have been the roomate, and also, as we now know, they met again 3 or 4 episodes ago and she told him she was getting married to a german guy. I think the most right-on theory is the one about Barney's sister (Older Ted refers to hims as Uncle Barney when talking to his kids so he may be their actual uncle). But still, this might also be wrong.

I don't think her name is Tracy for one reason. Older Ted lies to his kids all the time in the show. Just like when Victoria tells her most embarrassing story older Ted tells his kids it wasn't that great followed by Marshall saying that was the greatest story ever. So just because a character says a line in the show doesn't mean older Ted says that line to his kids. So the stripper probably did say Tracy and older Ted told his kids their mother's actual name to freak them out. That's my theory

knowing the writing of this how and how they bring past refrences from past episodes i think its robin who barney will marry. Remember in the episode, "The Leap" When robin first fond out that barney was in love with her? She said to Marshelle and Lily that she was going to marry Barney in a big CHURCH wedding and open a bed and breakfast. Barney's wedding is at a church, but we don't know for sure. just something i picked up.

1. "Bump Girl" can't be Barney's sister. She would have, at least, said hi to him and she's not shown in any other episode.
2. Victoria came back in season 7 but she was engaged. She left at the end of the episode.
3. It could be Robin. Robin and Barney kissed and in one episode, Robin thinks she's pregnant and you get to watch her talk to her "imaginary kids" She turns out NOT to be pregnant.

It's already mentioned that Ted's wife was Rachel Bilson's character's roommate WHILE Victoria was in Germany... So, no. Not Victoria. Carly is possible but the show made a hint that her name was Tracy, I thought. Ted uses a stripper named Tracy to scare his kids into thinking THAT is how he met their mother and I assume the kids know their mother's name...

I think the "bump girl" thing isn't an actual clue.
The half-sister thing is good but I like another theory too. The mother played bass in a band (her roommate that Ted dated said she is) The future mother is in the band playing at Barney and Robin's wedding.

The Victoria Theory does not make any sense, she is a baker, she went to a BAKING CLASS in GERMANY and not an ECONOMICS class in New York, she couldnt have been the roomate, and also, as we now know, they met again 3 or 4 episodes ago and she told him she was getting married to a german guy. I think the most right-on theory is the one about Barney's sister (Older Ted refers to hims as Uncle Barney when talking to his kids so he may be their actual uncle). But still, this might also be wrong.

I don't think her name is Tracy for one reason. Older Ted lies to his kids all the time in the show. Just like when Victoria tells her most embarrassing story older Ted tells his kids it wasn't that great followed by Marshall saying that was the greatest story ever. So just because a character says a line in the show doesn't mean older Ted says that line to his kids. So the stripper probably did say Tracy and older Ted told his kids their mother's actual name to freak them out. That's my theory

But the "bump in" girl theory is ridiculous because technically that means he's already met the mother, which doesn't make sense!
