I'd say it's somewhere between power metal and thrash, but then again, they label themselves as extreme metal or just metal in general to prevent all this genre bullshit to begin with, And I think I ought not to have started talking about it :3.

I will support them, no matter what! So shut the fuck up with quotes like "I only love the old Bodom". They write different songs, but that doesn't change anything! Everybody has a different opinion. So if you like the older songs.. that's fine with me. Then you have to listen to the old songs, but don't talk about 'old' and 'new' Bodom. Bodom is still the same. They are great and talented musicians and they will always be.

Sorry people, but this shit kicks ass no matter which way you slice it. People say they got worse when their music is so much more tolerable than it used to be. The riffs are all still there and the singing is so much better. I know metalheads love that screaming shit, but to normal musicians it sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Bodom is stepping in right direction. Some will think i'm wrong, but Alexi and Bodom as musicians know better than any of you what to write so quit hating. Adjust.

Only a few bands can produce new albums and do little to nothing with their sound and people still enjoy it for what it is. i.e. Slayer.
