started playing chess in 2006 and played untill 2011 online without any chess knowledge and improved to rating 1500, i still like playing but i would never make a study out of it coz the number of moves seem endless. Just thinking about how much openings there r makes me dizzy :D guess you need 2 b very young at age for that. Didnt play for a month now and i kind off miss it like an addiction, who ever invented this game is a genius!

@vrietmet I learned to play chess online as well. I got my rating to 2000, but I refuse to play anymore because I know I will never be as good as these guys are. It takes a lifetime of dedication to master this game like those 2 have.

@berberic a lifetime of dedication. You need to work on reading comprehension. A lifetime can be as long as 1 month. If you died when you were 1 month old. A lifetime is the time of ones life. So there is no specific time requirement to meet the lifetime requirement.

@BlizzGMX i understand a bit better what you mean. i responded to you that way, cause i thought understanding it in a way that we have no chance having their level, cause their level is thanx to a gift (we would have need a liftetime although carlson didnt). i dont believe in gifts the way society talk about it. carlson has a gift in my opinion. It is to have a GM as father. and as a child, wanting to impress the GM father, he had to become a great GM. thats what i believe.

All I was trying to say is that you must work hard and dedicate your life to chess in order to be as great as these players. that isn't all you need though, you also need to have the natural talent plus the dedication. Magnus probably spends most of his life looking over chess positions. That is what I was trying to say.

Magnus made PROPAGANDA in the internet that he can beat THE WORLD in a chessgame but he win ONLY against 3 GM and NOT against THE WORLD.

Against the people in internet with the help of soft- and hardware Magnus would not have any chance to win a chessgame and he knows this.
