  • I bought this album way back then. Drugs of the day were not extreme, music was suspect; Quincy was the man, had the experience, the desire, the talent. Not to mention all those outstanding folk that performed on his tracks. Try writing arrangements like these sometime. Oh, and then have a great group of excellent musicans gather to execute your best. It doesn't happen all the time. As the faced might say ... become one with the music.
