All pilots fly off the Commander/Leader who is using his Head-Up Display to read altitude, airspeed, attitude, and ascent-descent rate data projected there. The other pilots do not look into the cockpit during formation maneuvers.

Awesome vid. Movie and scores are so harmonized. Does anybody know the title of scores which are used in the intro part and the later part? I guess the middle part score is theme of the movie "Hook", but I can't find the titles of others.

Whiteyak, kind comments but not entirely true. Some of our best are non-pilots with an amazing attitude. Practice practice practice got them there.
