I do think how weird it was that Bing Crosby's first family was so screwed up, and they are all dead now. Yet, Bing Crosby's second family with Kathryn was normal. I am going to read Gary's book to see what went wrong. Even in this song Bing seems to be putting Gary down, they had a power struggle. I really think Gary was trying to protect his brothers and was in a way a father figure.

This was just a radio performance, I think. I believe Gary was ordered, rather than invited, to join his father on this recording
