I named my Australian Shepherd after this song :) I was listening to it on my iPod the day we went to the shelter to pick him up. Buddy was 5 months old when we got him.. that hiper bundle of joy is 4 years old now, I've sung this song to him every night since I got him, and I'll sing it to him for as long as he lives.

@JobberBud The one on the Left I'm pretty sure is Norman Petty (Buddys Manager) And I'm not so sure who the one on the Right is. I'm pretty sure that picture was taken in a hotel room.

@RetroGurl73 Ohhhh okay. This is a great song by the way; I think too many have gotten caught up in the version from the "Juno" soundtrack that they forget this version. Both are great, but this version has a gorgeousness to it I can't describe!

I remember seeing Juno at the movies a couple of years ago. It was before I knew who Buddy Holly was and I don't even remember hearing "Dearest" being played in that movie. Aha, I still don't know what part that song is played. To tell you the truth, I never even knew/realized that this song was in Juno untill people started leaving comments about it being in Juno. I guess I will have to search it up to see what everyone is Talking about!
